Anyone here look and feel younger than their age?

I thought I'd had a stage when I'll evolve to a bigger pokémon, but at 32 I'll start to believe it will never happen/it already did.

I feel like a twenty year old boy all the time, I have my beautiful girlfriend to thank for that.
It's the fucking mirror that doesn't let me get away with it.
Also, don't trust anyone that tell you "You are fourty?! I would have sworn you are 30 at the most"
Bunch of lies, we are all a bunch of well intended freaking liars.

Look younger than my age?

Yep, so much so that folks think my younger brother is the older one. Relatively clean living, no alcohol and smoking etc, helps with that.

Feel younger than my age?

Hell no. Two young kids and years of work crunches have taken their toll - physically and mentally - more than I'd like to admit.

I'm 37. I look younger than half the people I work with who are younger than me. Customers always seem to think I'm late 20s/30.

Last few months I've started going gym and eating better. I feel alot better too.

Me. I exercise daily. That's helped me. I work, and at least I stay active, except on vacation....

There are colleagues who have kidney problems or have passed away.

I'll be 39 in June and a 19 year old I was talking to the other week seemed genuinely surprised and told me she thought I was in my late 20s.

Usually it's only older people who rate me younger so that was quite a surprise. Aside from the sports I do I attribute this mainly to me being calm and stress free most of the time. I swear to god, stress is killing y'all.
Wow!!! Seriously, you're with a 19-year-old, that's great... Age doesn't matter in a relationship, right? Then I have those thoughts, but I think age doesn't matter.

I'm 44 you guys decided if I do my age

I'm just over fifty. I am starting to feel it in my right hip which is mostly what I used in sparring when I did martial arts for over 4 years. I am very curious if that is outside the realm of normal "wear and tear" (i went to class 3 to 4 times a week and taught 2 times a week) LOL

As far as feeling it mentally oh man I still feel like I am in my late 20s.

I'm convinced people can live to 200. Just 100 years ago people were living to 60, now it's 100.

There's a hard limit because the protection part (telemeres) of DNA breaks with each cell division, so new chromosomes get more and more incorrect with each division. When the telemere get used up, that chromosome is gone forever. So even if you have zero health issues, you'll still only live to 80-100.

People used to say I looked young for my age....then I started balding lol

Yeah, but even those are subject to epigenetics. And your attitude can really influence your aging.

My father has 2 older brothers. They both did drugs in their youth, and the oldest one was also a drinker and a heavy smoker for many years. Both of them lived unsafely and stressfully, both always had a problem with their temper. Both of them still have a full head of hair; one is 69 and barely has a grey hair on his head, the oldest basically started graying around 65. Both always slept like babies.

My father, though? He started exercising in his teens, always ate mostly clean, barely ever drank alcohol or ate red meat before his mid-50s, trained his body all his life. What he got for this was, he developed a nasty form of IBD, he started losing his hair in his 40s, he had his hip replaced in his mid-50s, and he's had trouble sleeping for years.

My father's family, to me, is living proof that we still really haven't cracked the code.

Reminds me of my grandpa.
Physically active and in good shape, never smoked, more of an occasional drinker and tries to eat relatively healthy. But he has had to deal with a ton of health issues in surgeries during his life.

Meanwhile his brother is a heavy drinker and smoker on top of being fat and out of shape.... Has never had anything worse than the flu.

Ultimately all these things we do just increase our chances of being healthy. But it's never a guarantee.

I'm 38 years old now, but my wife is much younger so our friend circle is all around her age, it does make me 'feel' younger. But when we go out anywhere I immediately feel my age again, since I cant keep up with their drinking and energy.

Thats one of the things no one tells you about getting old - your tolerance for drink and partying drops through the floor at around 35, and a friday night bender turns into a long hangover weekend of regret very easily.

I generally look a younger than my age until I grow my beard out which ages me quite a bit because of the grey hairs. I don't feel my age but I do feel older. My family members tend to look at least a decade younger than they actually are.

I still get carded regularly for buying lottery tickets. Like "you do know you need to be at least 18 to buy tickets" lady remarks. I look younger now in my mid 40s than my 20s for sure.

52 in July. If it werent for the grey hair I'd look mid 40's I feel mid 30's. I don't smoke, never done drugs and rarely drink even as a young person. Also I think having a job that's somewhat physically demanding helps.

Ha I feel this, My mrs is 6 years younger so not massively different, but I am 36 and this past weekend I actively avoided alcahol because of the potential hangover, still had a great time.

In terms of the topic, yeah I look alot younger than I am and still like doing the same things as when I was 10 years younger. I think alot of it is attitude and behaviour, if you feel like an achy old man and go around moaning about everything and dont look after yourself with diet and exercise and rest youll age very quickly.
