I didn't include a poll because I honestly don't know many off the top, but if you had to choose...who has consistently put out memorable blockbuster titles?

Without too much thought, for me it's obviously Rockstar Games and Naughty Dog.

The cream of the crop.

Not trying to hit you with an "actuallyyyyyyy", but Rockstar is technically Scotland for the majority of GTA's history. Unless you're picking Rockstar San Diego for the Red Dead games.

Someone whose name I can't even think of, if I ever knew. All the ones I used to have named I no longer care for at all (like Blizzard) or don't really make games anymore.

Unless you mean 'of all time' in which case it's Valve by a long shot.

Blizzard and Valve

Blizzard for everything before OW2/D4 (Diablo, War, WoW, Star, HOTS, OW1 under Jeff), Valve for everything before DOTA2 / CSGO. (Half Life, Half Life 2, TF2, Mods, Portal 1, L4D/L4D2)

TLOUp2 was my most recent 10/10 gen, so I would say Naughty Dog.

Looked up a list of games made by Valve (My vote)

Never heard of this and it says it was released as a demo for the Steamdeck.
Is this like the Switch 2 Welcome Tour? Only free?
 
In the 2000's, Bioware and Obsidian.

Recently I like Larian.

Saber Interactive is looking good with Space marine, Turok Origins, and Jurassic park.

All time? Valve.

Currently? Probably Rockstar San Diego (RDR2, but that's a bit messy as it was an international work, though they kind of were the lead). so If I had to pick pure american dev... well, its going to be Bethesda. Primarily because they are the only dev house in the entire world making games like Skyrim/ES6/Fallout/Starfield. Even if you dont like Starfield, its still hard to find anything else like it that fills the hole. I appreciate that they exist and continue to make things others dont.
 
I really enjoyed Essemble Studios work, unfortunately MS disbanded them.

Fortunately Relic is doing an excellent job with the Age of Empires series, but Relic is Canadian so....


Sucker Punch.

I love the Infamous triology and both Ghost games are excellent.

It shows how the Steam Deck works. And uses lore from Portal. And it is actually super fun, with top-tier writing.

I was like « how the hell a free demo can be a fantastic game with great lore ? »
 
I personally think peak Insomniac was the Resistance series. While I do appreciate Spider-Man and potentially Wolverine, it's kind of niche compared to a FPS IP.

They didn't make counter strike. Some modder did.

Same with dota. Dota was already huge and had a full game copy it as stand alone (LoL).
 
Good question. I do not know. All of the studios I used to love have been destroyed by activism. Bend Studio made an awesome game, but I do not want to see what they are doing next. I am sure there are some small indie studios that are fine, but I am not aware of them specifically. It seems like all the games I enjoy lately come from Japan or Poland and now France. It is so sad to see studios like Bethesda go completely to shit. Rockstar is about to release GTA6, so there is a chance they are still ok. We will see.
 
The thing is Rockstar Games owns multiple sub studios and some are British like DMA Design now Rockstar North that made the GTAs.

Red Dead Redemption was made by Rockstar San Diego while 2 and the upcoming GTAVI are Rockstar Games.
