Why are people playing 6 out of 10 or 7 out of 10 games when there soooo many 10/10 games

I'm looking at my friends list and people are wasting their time playing all these random games. I on the other hand have standards and only play perfect games. I'm not telling you what you should play but cmon, why are you not playing better game when time is so limited.
Don't even get me started on 5 out of 10 games. 8s and 9s I approve of.

anyone who cares about review scores should be seen as a dirty casual.

Not every person likes everything, and people have their preferences. So, people play what is more in line with the stuff they like playing.

That's it, lmao.

The art of trolling is being as effective as possible within plausible deniability

I think he is a troll. A master shit poster. He'll just post a ridiculous thread and then bail. He hasn't even responded to people in here asking what these games are.

DR3AM DR3AM the jig is up.

If a lot of people play Free Fire or Fortnite, it's not because the game is good... It's because those people don't have money to buy underwear and they look for free games... Because they're poor.

Whatever ur friends are playing and brings them joy- thats fine, no matter if its 10/10 or 5/10 rated game(overall meta/community rating or ur personal rating, doesnt matter really), problem would only occur if they are playing games they arent enjoying- aka they are wasting their time and hard earned money on games that dont bring them joy :)

As an example i loved that 58/100 metacritic game:
was genuine 9/10 from my(star ocean fanatic) perspective and i finished it in over 120h including all bonus/postgame content.

While there are some games with well over 90% metascore (example tlou2- 93 meta) i cant stand(only top notch things it got from my pov are graphics/animations).

It's not about playing the 'best' game, but the one you feel like in the moment. Sometimes I don't want an epic narrative driven single-player AAA game, but a quick & easy fun indie title focused on gameplay. The same reason people don't constantly watch the highest rated critically acclaimed movies & shows, but vary their consumption.

Because your 6/10 may be my 10/10. I don't always enjoy the most critically acclaimed games, but I quite often enjoy games that the reviewers didn't.

unless a game is genuinely broken and unplayable rating the game is %100 subjective, some idiot born in 2006 who works at IGN gives a game I find interesting a 7 because his gay cat was caught banging a female cat that day is not a meteric I want to base my choices on.

Because reviews are not credible this days especially from kotaku, gamespot, ign, eurogamer, edge, and thegamer. Politics and agenda and woke crap bias. The best reviewer is your own instinct and conscience.

Guys,..... he's pretty clearly trolling, several of his threads are structured like this, he's doing a bit. It's kind of his schtick, and honestly he's good at it, so respect. He's making a subtle point I believe, and I truly think that when he makes these threads he's giggling watching everyone think he's serious.

So true, i personally can't get enough of Civilization VII even if it reviewed poorly and is not recognized as good by Civ fans.
I had a blast with City Crisis (6.3) and Pac-Man 2 (7.3) in my teens. Avoiding games because of their scores just means that you'll rob yourself of experiences that might have been more memorable than the perfect 10s. It's similar with movies where the higher the score the less I often enjoy them because of my personal tastes. In comparison I love scifi/cosmic horror and have often seen 4 or 5/10 movies (IMDB) that I liked watching and which sometimes have "braver" stories than your typical Hollywood productions.

And that's also without me going into superindie games like the ones you find on itch.io. I still remember a walking simulator depicting brutalism. Some of my most mind-bending gaming experiences have come from those niche works.

Sounds like your friends are 6/10s. Maybe you should be upgrading instead of posting this shite.
