I was just bored and needed something to do so I posted a bullshit post, to get something to talk about. It seems much mellower here on the OT side, though.

Yeah, the best way to resolve a conflict is to make more noise and draw more attention to the problem.

Instead of, y'know, PMing the people you have a problem with directly or posting in your livejournal or otherwise not trying to mire GAF into your woes.

Let's be honest, it was a pretty stupid question to start a thread on. Anyone with any common sense knows this forum is frequented by the most hardcore of gamers who pratically wait around for an easy target such as yourself to jump all over.

Easy solution is to entertain yourself by reading the forum and not posting.

The reality of the situation is that there was a logical, economic answer to your question that is widely known and yet entirely ignored in your post. I mean, it's not like you sat down and gave a logical discussion of the issue and then CONCLUDED with your point...you just made a blind, ill-conceived statement to attempt to create controversy. That isn't starting discussion...that's just posting shit.

You did the same thing here with this post. You posted a thought...not a detailed thought, just something you decided you'd share. While these kinds of posts are generally considered to be fine in posts ABOUT something, they don't start them. It's not that your opinion is being deemed invalid...it's being deemed inconsequential and not worthy of its own topic in its one-sided and lame state.

Your better bet? Find an older thread and bitch in it. Less posts clogging up the board, and just as much fun with colours.

Is there ever a time on the Gaming front page where there isn't at least one thread that's Bitching About Nintendo?

Funny, I wrote about myself being uptight on my blog and it seems to apply here to. Here it is:

After posting my little political rant something bugged me. As I looked more and more at the sensation I realized that the internet is just a bunch of drunks, and I was acting like one.
But why is this? Simple, because on the internet you control the rules, and when you control the rules you cannot see that that you are wrong. As I type this and see the words looking back at me all I hear is agreement. This is not the case when you're stuck in a room with someone and you can't tell them to shut up and have to act civil towards them. This behavior is just like how someone acts when they are drunk. So it is that ranting on the internet is no better than watching a drunken rant. Add to this Godwin's Law and my point is further made. So the internet is then the biggest collection of ranting drunks in history. And yet I continue to rant as if I'm the only drunk that makes any sense. I don't understand it. But I need the writing pratice so I continue.
