Without money, the site can't function. Okay, let me tell you the difference between Facebook and everyone else: we don't crash, ever! If those servers are down for even a day, our entire reputation is irreversibly destroyed! Users are fickle, Friendster has proved that. Even a few people leaving would reverberate through the entire userbase. The users are interconnected, that is the whole point. College kids are online because their friends are online, and if one domino goes, the other dominoes go, don't you get that? I am not going back to the Caribbean Night at AEPi!

I'm on Facebook right now.

Works for me, but there's a message to turn on https for secure browsing. You just click it.

Edit: try through https

Well, this oughtta be interesting.

Was in the middle of a conversation though, bastards.

Same here, and a rather critical one too :(

Oh well, it might be better that fb is down because otherwise I would have just lost my shit lol

Facebook became less of a priority in my life once I realized I didn't care about 200 of the people on my list. That said, I kinda miss it right now because of the 50 or so that I do like. ;)

Holy crap, started checking all kinds of settings before coming here on the off chance. What on earth?

"We. don't. crash. ever!"

lol I had no idea they had a week long public vote on facebook's privacy policy. I'm not sure if the downtime has anything to do with it. Imma be pissed if everyone now knew the exact amount of times I stalk each person's profile, how many dildos I bought on amazon, etc without my approval.

ya ya I just posted a redundant thread, which got locked toot sweet:

http://www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com/facebook.com

http://www.reddit.com/r/AskReddit/comments/14mort/facebook_down_for_anyone_else_dont_know_what_sub/

Still down here, + www.downforeveryoneorjustme.com =

ahahhaa.

Edit: btw that message indicates some kind of redirect or DNS error, rather than a 404

Edit: Fucking seven kinds of beaten.

They had an issue in November from tickering with their DNS settings too.

I wrote out a long message to my friend on Facebook a few minutes ago and then closed the tab thinking it was going to send. I'm guessing that I'm going to have to retype the message?
