I wouldn't say Nintendo sucks. They are on one their worst creative slumps though.

Short of Pikmin, not much original has come out of the Big N for some time.

The DS, this could be an innovative piece of hardware. But what do they back it up with? Old N64 ports with a touch gimmick added. Sorry Nintendo... no dice.

They created the DS to be innovative and offer a new gameplay experience. Yet, they themselves have no idea how to properly harness that innovation. It's sad really to see Nintendos slide from relavance since the SNES days.

If it weren't for the handheld division keeping them afloat, how's to say they wouldn't be a thrid party or out of business entirely by now.

Regardless of how much surplus they have in th ebank, new system development eats up a large portion of it when it takes a loss at launch.

They have alienated their thrid parties, and alienated all but the hardcore Nintendo fans.

I'd like to see them where they once were, on top. But until they change their tune and embrace new technlogies and gametypes it isn't going to happen.

umm.. I think Yoshi touch and go + Kirby are pretty innovative and never done before? Band Brothers is also like a suped-up cooled out version of Benami games. Imagine meeting strangers with DS and getting together to play tunes. Great way to break the ice + attract attention IMO. We haven't seen very much more from them on DS. E3 or bust! I think Wario + Mario both serve their purposes on the DS, even if they don't feel fresh. One's a port and one's a 2nd sequel. (3rd if you include the GC title)

that's my two cents on Nintendo + DS.

Just stop. There has been too much fucking Nintendo analysis here. It sucks, from every viewpoint. This thread is the funny, don't launch off it.

What I find funny is that DJ Demon J is working for an anti-piracy organisation, and that, in the console world, Nintendo this generation has been the best to prevent piracy on their console.

So, Demon, do you hate Nintendo because they could make you lose your job (in a future of non-piracy) or you simply hate them because you don't like their games ?

Anyways, screw the haters, I think you rock.
