Okay, I'll touch more on this one. Remakes and sequels are just ways for money-hungry celebrities to make more cash after their last coke binge. Except Steve Martin. He hasn't worked in forever. In anything funny in forever.

Miss Congenieality was terrible in its own aspect. IIRC, it also did very poorly in the box office. What I'm trying to figure out is why in the world they would make a sequel? It doesn't even make sense... she already got the guy, and the entire dating circuit knows that she's a big faker. I'm not sure how some guy could sit down and write this slop.

And looking at those opening-weekend numbers, it seems to have had good legs... meaning that audiences actually liked it. Ugh.

When someone says "I hope 'Miss Congeniality 2' isn't as bad as that new Star Wars," you know Lucas fucked up somewhere in there.

I thought Miss Congeniality was pretty funny, though. Trite and predictable, but it was a fun watch over dinner in the living room with my family.
