Just saw Mystic River for the first time

and man the ending was so fucked up. I mean I knew when it came out what the movie was going to be about and how they would kill the wrong guy, but watching it left me like wow.

It was still a great movie but I really don't see how it was getting all the talk about it that it was. Penn and Robins did deliver excellent performances.

WTF you gotta be fucking shitting me. Like I said it's fairly obvious just from the trailers what is going to go on in the movie. Second the movie has been out for like a year and a fucking half. If you haven't seen it yet then you probably aren't interested in seeing it and thus knowing what happens is irrelevent. You people have to get off the spoiler shit especially if the movie has been out for like ages.

I wasn't kidding -- it's one of those movies on my "I'd like to watch it" list, but I have VERY little time to watch movies.

If the movie relies on a surprising ending for dramatic effect, then don't spoil it...period.

Again unless you are a total idiot then you should from just watching the trailer and hearing other people talk about it know what is going to go on. The story has been done before and it doesn't seem as if the writer of this movie tried to hide were the story was going. If you ahd no clue about this movie within the first 30 minutes you would know what was going to happen.

I haven't seen any trailers. Just because things are shown in a trailer, doesn't mean they're not spoilers. So spoiler tag these things, especially with a thread title like this.

Look, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you aren't TRYING to spoil anyone else's enjoyment of the movie. But before you start calling me an idiot, think about it: You started a thread with a title that didn't indicate what the fuck it was about, and didn't include a warning about spoilers in the title. If there had been some indication that this was about Mystic River, and that you were going to openly discuss the ending, I would have avoided it.

Just accept the fact that you weren't doing everything you could to warn people away, don't do it again, and we can move on.

I haven't seen the movie, came in after the spoiler tags, read them anyways, and I guarantee you that if I were to watch the movie a week from now I wouldn't even take it into account. Was it a bit more spoilerific before?
