Here's how it stands right now--
The case against the PSP:
1. Console-style games on a handheld? I already have a console.
2. Playing music, video, roms on it? I already have a laptop, and a standalone mp3 player.
3. I don't take public transit (it doesn't exist around here).
4. I don't like GTA.
5. I already have a portable system.
The case for:
1. Some good looking racers.
So I ask, why should I get a PSP?
Since you already sound like you have convinced yourself NOT to get a PSP I find this thread pretty useless. As a regular you know perfectly well these threads never end good and are just inviting to be a trollfest. Simple fact is PSP is not for everyone just like the DS is not for everyone. For example I will use your negatives you listed and show how they are positives to some people.
1)Console style games, you already have a console. Some people are on the go quite a bit and don't have time to sit in front of their TV's stationery for a day to play all the games they want to play. Ever play a DS or GBA in front of the TV while watching a movie or show? It's called multitasking. Xmen Legends II is a good example of not missing anything from a console version and having it on the go and getting the same, if not more experience with 4 exclusive characters and extra levels.
2)I already have a laptop, mp3 player, blah blah. Yes yes yes....can you show me that pocket you put all that in too? (too head off any smart ass trolling the DS is just as big as the PSP and no one complains about that fitting in their pockets. And if you still wanna bitch I will just say stop buying those tight ass leather pants you freak and get some real pants with real pockets.)
3)Don't like public transit? Ok, didn't know this was a requirement to play your PSP. You have a DS or GBA right? You find time to play those in a day right?
4)You don't like GTA? Never one of my favorite games either, lucky thing there are other games on the PSP. This again is a pretty objective subject though, my friend says there are not games he wants to play on the PSP yet the shlock he buys on the DS and other systems makes me laugh, and the next day he's whining that he's getting bored of gaming just like Iwata/Miyamoto said. Yea whatever, buy some real games I say. Anyways anyone that says there are absolutely no games on or coming to the PSP they want to play as gamers I feel they are lying to themselves or not being very objective.
5)You already have a portable system? Ok, you only have one console too right? Because you know every console has the same games and all, right?
