The company I work for is a vendor for a large semiconductor company and at their site they have provided wireless access for us. This wireless AP is set for open access, no encryption, WPA,etc.
We use a Nortel VPN client to authorise access to our company email, server, etc.
Does this VPN use encryption so as to secure our email, confidential company info on the unsecured wireless AP that we have been provided with.
