Wilco Book and Documentary

Thinking of picking these up with a 50 gift card from Barnes, but since I am relatively new to Wilco I thought I'd ask about the pros and cons from people who have them. Thanks.

There both very good, and while this is coming from a huge fan, I think anyone interested in the music will enjoy both.

The documentry is great on its own and the dvd is very well done. It's got commentary by the band and filmmaker on the feature as well as a second disc filled with un-used material. It has a handful of live stuff and just some funny bits that didn't fit in the movie. The inclusion of the second disc alone makes it a nice pickup for the price.

The Wilco Book (not to be confused with Knot's book) is also a great piece. The cd included has a few good tracks, but should only be seen as a side to the book, not a new wilco cd. The book is just really neat, nice pictures, some blurbs from the band and a few essays. If you're looking for one or the other, I'd say go with the dvd, but both are worth it for a fan.
