Where'd they do this? Their website still says "Q4 2005," and the only thing AsciiDave has said is that they're not hitting October 18th...Tamanon said:Yeah, Agetec confirmed they bumped it to November 15![]()
But where did "they" confirm it? An interview or what?Tamanon said:Nope no link, guess they just confirmed it won't hit this date either. Not like they've actually made a release date projection since 16 Nov 04......kinda annoying, but we'll wait and see.
My guess, next month
Well, I've heard they're pretty much different games. This one has, reportedly, a different battle system, a completely rewritten script, and 3 new characters, among other things. I'll be giving it a shot when it goes in the bargain bin, if nothing else.Beezy said:The new intro vid sucks. The different art style sucks too. I think I'll stick with the original.
Tabris said:The original intro is probabaly one of the best intros to a game ever.
The Gaming Gamer said:I like the unique skills each character had in battle, and even in the field, and also the different items you could use. Are the other Wild Arms similar to the original, I really liked the original but I never really had a chance to play it fully because it was one of my first PS1 games and I didn't have a memory card.

Alphonse said:WA2 is closer to WA1 but WA3 is a better overall game. Most people don't like either game though (usually because they don't have fun with it rather than it being a mechanic issue).
So that we have something else to compare this to and then compare to our own lists (to know how appicable this review thing is), can you name some others on said list?Alphonse said:That becomes a matter of preference though. I find both WA2 and WA3 to be particularly engaging and I'd easily put WA3 on my top ten list of best PS2 RPGs.
QTF, sadly. I actually really loved the characters and story in WA3 until about the last 1/3 of it... then the extraordinarly generic anime sci-fi elements made the entire thing implausible and I stopped caring.Alphonse said:With that said, I think they're pretty similar overall. The details will be different but the basic feel of the games are the same. Actually, the games become a bit more western as they go on but retain a bit of a sci-fi element to it that usually ends up ruining the story (the Wild Arms TV anime series actually does this well btw).

Tabris said:Quick question...
For someone who owns the original Wild Arms still, should I even bother?
I watched the new intro and it's just so damn bad in comparison. Even music was slightly messed with.
I really could use saving 60 bucks right now
Bebpo said:PS: WA4 while not being terribly original is still 10x better than this game by all accounts and XSEED being a brand new company needs support so they don't tank ASAP...so it might be best for WA fans to hold on a bit and use the money on WA4 instead.

Greenpanda said:Well, she wouldn't have been able to join until really, really late in the game ... it probably wasn't worth adding her in...

Source: http://p068.ezboard.com/fagetecfrm43.showMessage?topicID=28.topicsomeone who got a review copy spilled the beans over at gamefaqs, so instead of waiting for agetec to do their press release to announce the release date like I originally planned to do, I'll just come right out and say it.
Wild Arms Alter Code: F comes out on November 15th, just one day short of being delayed for an entire year.
