Concord vibes lmaoThe artstyle is a big fat no thanks from me.
Try again another time ex-blizzard, hopefully with a decent art direction that doesn't look like clown vomit.
Bisexual Lighting..Big trend in purple the past year or two.
You don't know it yet but soon enough you'll say the same thing about Arc Raiders.I put 70 hours into it.
It's the saddest GAAS failure of my lifetime. It does some really fun, fresh things but it's marred by some fundamental problems. Would have been special with 18 more months in the oven.

Article: Bloomberg reports that Wildgate has sold just 130,000 units in its first month plus. The data, which comes from a letter Dreamhaven co-founder Michael Morhaime sent to staff.
The Blizzard co-founder said that despite positive reviews from critics, the game performed below commercial expectations. It wasn't just Wildgate that struggled, either. Dreamhaven's other game, Sunderfolk, has sold just 62,000 copies since it released in April. Because of the struggles, he said, the company is looking for new financing.
"Our monthly expenses are outpacing revenue," Morhaime said in the letter, adding that Dreamhaven's focus is to now "urgently" reduce costs.
He added that he is "committed" to making sure the studio survives its current financial turmoil.
It's hard to launch a successful multiplayer game. Outside military shooters, or being free to play, it doesn't seem to work.Dreamhaven's Wildgate Has Struggled With Sales
It's a tough time for new video game IPs. According to a new report, Wildgate, the new online PvP game from developer Dreamhaven, has struggled with sales since it's release.

The competition for the MP crowd is fierce for sure, you better being something real special to the table to get a seat. And preferably have enough money for a good marketing run and/or catch the interest of some large influencers. It's hard to launch a successful multiplayer game. Outside military shooters, or being free to play, it doesn't seem to work.
My thoughts on this are the same with games like Fragpunk, in that it would have been so much better with some type of campaign. Even if it was just offline multiplayer scenarios that would still mean a lot towards it's longevity.Dreamhaven's Wildgate Has Struggled With Sales

I agree wholeheartedly, just leaning on MP/Co-Op "emerging storytelling" leaves you vulnerable if you don't start trending. My thoughts on this are the same with games like Fragpunk, in that it would have been so much better with some type of campaign. I checked out Sunderfolk. I'm surprised it even sold 62,000 because that seems like a lot for a boardgame that looks like requires people to use their cellphones to play. I buy card/board games off Steam all the time and going by the Steamdb charts and forums they sell lousy. It seems so low I might be only 1 of 1,000 people in the world who might had bought it. And Sunderfolk being a $65 CDN game is a big no no. Even Gloomhaven didnt cost that much. Most of the card/board games I buy usually have a regular price of $20 tops. On deal for about $10. Some are $10 on deal for $5.Dreamhaven's Wildgate Has Struggled With Sales

Yeah, it's a hard sell with that kind of focus. Gloomhaven was suprisingly good. It even made me buy the actual boardgame to play with the wife. Have Frosthaven on my wishlist and will pick it up after full release & a meaningful sale.I checked out Sunderfolk.
