i have dumb and dumber on dvd, but it is very old. there are literally no deleted scenes, and the only "bonus" material is original trailers for the movie. my question is why hasn't this classic been given the royal treatment? you have fucking 2 versions of rushmore (great movie as well), 2 versions of predator (great movie), 2 versions of every god damn movie except my favorite comedy of all time. when will this happen?

Probably for HD-DVD.

New Line typically doesn't do new editions (the LOTR movies are an exception as both DVD editions were announced from the start). HD-DVD will be the next Dumb and Dumber release most likely.

The only re-releases New Line really ever did was re-releasing some of their older DVDs in non-snapper cases.
