So what do you think happens this fall. This isn’t a discussion for what you think should happen as that’s a completely different conversation. This is more wearing your prognosticator hat.

I’ve gone back and forth on this. At first, was real pessimistic on a season happening, but as time passed saw a season happening as NFL just seemed so gung ho and their history of caring for the players health hasn’t been great. Though now, starting to fall more towards the side there will not be a season. Right now at 51% a season occurs so voted yes. What do you think happens?

yes it will happen, but it will be different. I dont think the stadiums will be able to support fans day 1.

I also think the moment a single player gets Covid, that team is basically done for the season. I mean what will they do, they cant play if the players are possibly infected. So does the team just forfeit? Its going to be a really weird season.

And we all know Bill Belichick will be figuring out ways to infect opposing teams locker rooms.

He is already always living in every coaches and fans head rent free , BB doesn’t need to do anything.
I think there will be a shortened season but with no fans

I lean towards no. I just think it's going to be a tough thing to get done. Whatever happens, I've made my peace with little to no sports the rest of 2020 (and beyond?).

At least we've got empty stadium soccer for those who appreciate the beautiful game.

There will be the NFL I believe. Seating is going to be staggered and it's not going to feel like football. Homefield advantage won't be as big due to low crowd noise, we'll see more "clever" advertising in order to make up for the lack of ticket sales, and if you are able to attend the game, enjoy not having to deal with crowds and traffic. Honestly, might be a good time to go as a fan if you can get in the stadium.

I'm by no means an expert but seems like there is too much money at stake for it to not happen.

Bingo. There’s too much money to be made. Season will happen, but I expect lots of empty seats and a ton of roster changes throughout the season due to players catching the virus.

Yes. Just no preseason games & no stadium seating.

Player & staff testing will be frequent. Positive cases will be isolated from the team on an individual basis, not disqualify the whole team.

Yes. Too much money at stake and NFL players dont really have that good of guaranteed contracts do they?

If covid slows down in the US maybe there could be like half the seats or something.

It will probably happen even with no supporters in the stadiums (they still have the tv rights money and sponsors) but i'm guessing they'd lose a lot of money.

For decades, the NFL has secretly funneled money to robotics R&D. This was driven primarily by CTE.. something they’ve known about on the DL since 1992. They were afraid the brain-damage backlash would threaten the Human-based League. They originally planned to unveil CYBERBALL in 2022, but Covid has accelerated the timeline.

I think the NFL will follow the lead of the NBA/NHL/MLB. If those leagues can pull of their restart it will give the NFL a blueprint for what works and what doesn’t.

They'd make so much more money 😅And there could be newer, more advanced robots coming in each season which they'd buy for more money.
Open it to any company and make a draft of the best bots.

Also, mandatory Speedball 2 intro...
