On the night where we celebrate Home Run hitters, I'm looking at my own pathetic blue jays and their inability to run.
The 80s were more about the small game. A 300 hitter with 30 stolen bases was on the shopping list for all teams. Now it seems that guys who have some power, some running ability and good defensively is all that matters - barring those super strong home run hitters of course.
I honestly can't think of anyone in the major leagues who is a threat to steal 500 bases over their career when Ichiro retires - let alone threaten Henderson's insane 1400+SB.
