Willow | Official Teaser Trailer | Disney+

This makes me so happy. It looks like they're sticking with the high fantasy vibe and not changing tone which is great.

OK most modern TV is pretty trash, but I'm cautiously excited for this

Fuck I have barely any memory of the original. Is it worth watching nowadays? I'm a sucker for fantasy shit and it seems we don't get anything good from the genre anymore since LOTR and GOT.

I'm expecting it to be super cheesy. But I love me some cheese

I CAN'T WAIT WILLOW UFGOOD IS BACK
Fuck off Netflix's The Witcher!
Go fuck yourself Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power!
Kill yourself House of the Dragon!
The premier fantasy series is here!

I'm actually kinda hyped for this. The original was enjoyable in a 'this is close as we are gonna get to a lord of the rings movie' kind of way.

Holy shit, fucking psyched! Willow is my favorite movie (well, one of them) and I watch it regularly. Ive wanted a sequel since I was a child 30 years ago. Saw some recurring characters too!

VOHNKAR!!

I remember re-watching it very close to when LOTR came out and couldn't get through it. But years later you realize it's a different type of movie and is basically George Lucas trying to adapt his version of the Heroes Journey from Star Wars into a high fantasy setting with a similar tone as the OT and it's still charming.

The "NOT A WOMAN!" bit hits even better in current day.

You forgot to swear at wheel of time TV series, it needs the most profanity

That looked sick. It's a sequel to something?
It's a sequel to the George Lucas-produced Ron Howard-directed 1988 fantasy WILLOW. A Daikini baby gets washed onto the shore of the Nelwyn village, and Willow Ufgood gets swept into an adventure! Val Kilmer is unrecognizable in his best role ever, as Madmartigan.

GET FUCKIN SHIT ON THE WHEEL OF TIME!

Ok I gotta fuckin watch the original, cause this trailer was dope as fuck

Would love to see it. My Disney + may be cancelled by then. I really love the original movie. I hope they can do it justice, but Disney? Probably not.

Loved the movie as a kid. And they got a good base for the series as there was a 3 part book series afterwards.

The pig scene is a furrys wet dream nowadays, from what I've heard …

That series of short clips makes for a good teaser, but considering it's a TV series I'm expecting the actual show to be bloated and longer than it needed to be.

Having said that, it's nice seeing Warwick Davis as Willow again.

All I can think of is the Life's Too Short episode were Val is trying to convince Warwick they are making Willow 2.

Don't know if this will be any good though.

That looked awful to me. I got very much wheel of time vibes but with a lower budget. Warwick had better be the focus and they better reference Mad Martigan!

Hope I'm wrong.

It feels like they took a Disney channel original movie like Sky High or something, and injected a bigger budget into it. It could be charming if done right.

I'll never forget the first time seeing this trailer as a kid, getting all hyped up on the idea that a Willow sequel was coming, until the title reveal.
31 years later...

I was born in the very early 1980's and Willow was a big part of my childhood growing up, I would joke with my bro all the time and yell "But Kaiya" in a british accent. I hope I enjoy this new movie, but I likely wont.

I just hope their technical skills are up to par, Willow was a huge technical achievement which ends up helping the film look like a expressionist painting when you watch it today. Personally the trailer looked a little too cleaned up for my taste.
