Windows AntiSpyware Downgrades Claria Detections.

"A week after word leaked out that Microsoft was negotiating an acquisition deal with Claria (See recent /. coverage), spyware researchers have noticed that the Windows antispyware application has downgraded Claria's Gator detections and changed the recommended action from 'quarantine' to 'ignore.' Screenshots of the new default settings."

Not suprising. Xp has Alexa, no doubts in my mind Longhorn will be filled with spyware that has be strong-armed past spyware programs. Just like when MS bought out Giant AntiSpam, MSN (messanger) adkillers were reported as 'threats'.

Unfortunatly, most people are too ignorant to know about this and get other free antispyware software :(

The software is great but make up your own damn mind what to do with the spyware

yeah people like us know better, but the average person will think they're not so bad...
