The movie is dragged down by....well the entire thing really ;). Mal tells me we have 71% comparability, that must mean something!

I'd watch Arjuna, Yami, and School Days before I'd make myself watch the E7 movie. I shut it off after fifteen minutes and just sat for a while in silent disappointment. Watching the whole thing would be the hardest two-ish hours of anime I imagine I could ever experience.

I have a MAL but I don't rate any of my anime so I can't do compatibility with anyone.

Your AnimeGAF application is not complete until you post a list of your favourite animes of all timez.
Wait, I haven't done that yet. I guess I'm not a full member then.

Deep Thoughts on Anime:

What is the minimum number required before a character has a 'harem'? If the minimum is as low as 2, does this mean Madoka has a harem now?
It's less about the numbers and more about the way the vertices present themselves to the main character. Like, FLCL has at least three girls trying to bone horny dude at some point, but nobody in their sane state of mind would consider that a harem.

I think if we count Madoka's cousin as the disinterested other, than Madoka definitely has a harem. I mean, cousin is pulling Madoka's pantsu down every chance she gets!

Kurogane no Linebarrels 3

Koichi is a selfish, spoiled fuck who just wants to show off his new found power after being a little bitch his whole life. Unlikable for the complete opposite reasons as wimpy mech pilots like Shinji. That seems to be the point though, so I'm guessing there will be some character development, especially considering how this episode ended.

come on, this is just friendship between two healthy girls!

The official artworks make it pretty clear that is just friendship:

lol sorry

What were you trying to post? Depending on what official art you're looking at, you can interpret Madoka's "friendships" pretty much any way you want to.

Is it prohibited to post scans from Megami/Nyantype/etc. here like it is to post Famitsu scans on gaming side?

Don't know if this is really the best place to ask, but I figured the best panel of experts would be assembled here.

I'm curious, Anime-GAF, as to the nature behind why so many anime series have lengths of one season. Obviously, there are many series that have gone on to have many, many seasons, but what is the nature behind this commonly used one season? Is it more a matter of adaptation from source material lends more easily to this model, is it just easier for studios to delegate responsibilities upon a shorter cycle like a one time run, or is it just a common practice after so many years of the 26 week/26 episodes stuff?

I doubt there will be a singular, absolute answer (maybe there is, I don't know), but I just wondered if anyone could shed some light on this practice.

It's mostly less financial risk and the alike than any of your noted reasons unless I'm mistaken. The trend started like 5 years ago I think? Sometime in '06 perhaps?

Nah the trend has been here for a while, more than a decade. I think it's a combination of many things but yeah, mostly the financial risk in producing more than 26 episodes.

There are still a few split cours. Spreading out a two cour show over three cours seems to be a way to maybe keep the people sane. Although that bit that grade school comedy in the ass a couple of seasons ago. Mitsudomoe or whatever it was called.
