Now i'm just spoiled and expect more from this point on.

Aquarion Evol - 06

I'm really not a fan of these scene transitions in general for the series. They almost feel purposeless and close to purely being filler with how disconnected they are to sustain any previously established mood, if any, from a past event or to create any mood for that matter, and the slow pacing magnifies this issue. If it were more atmospheric and played up more on the melodramatic side for example, maybe I'd be more invested emotionally with what's transpiring but I can't.

Sketchbook, the Tamayura OVA and the Aria series are from the same studio. Hal Film Maker are Slice of Life experts.

What are you saying about MangaGAF?

Needs more SatoJun though. :(

Amazing... simply amazing. Everyone loves a piece of cake.

are you calling firehawk old?
Naw, cakes are oishii, etc.

I dunno, the mere fact that the Pretty Cure characters use, when Toei has budget to spare, martial arts to fight against their enemies makes it more "progressive" than most little-girl magical girl anime.
To get their powers they have to become super feminine though!

These are the only official K-ON!(!) dakimakuras:

If only all anime was as wholesome as K-ON...

Just kidding; I only posted that dakimakura for firehawk's sake, because he always talked about that one girl.
Wait, they didn't make them for the other girls?

Also, you know me too well.

One of three things is going on here: either that was a long bunch of speculation, I was completely asleep when watching the episode and missed all of that, or you found some other source of plot information. And if it's the latter, I'd like to know what that source is.

Ummm, I was able to infer all of what I wrote simply by watching the show. Most of it is speculation at this point but if you were paying attention the last 5 episodes you could have figured all of that out. If you were too busy HNNNNNNNGH-ing at the opening part of episode 5 with Young Laffinty and Young Orangejulius, you should watch that part again as it fit in an enormous amount of backstory, and also explains the show's title. Quite frankly, I think Madoka would be disappointed if she found out you weren't paying attention. No MARU! for you!

It's all been in the first 5 episodes.

It's all on the Wikipedia page.

I was hnnnnnnging all over the goddamned place and I still got most of tbe back story of the show .
I reckon he was simply sleeping through the episodes.

.

Rinne no lagrange 5 - Felt like a set-up episode in terms of plot development, but the amount of MARU!! made it all worth-while. Can't wait for next week, shit is going get real OMGGG.

Ah, I should clarify, I was mistaken with what I wrote before. A large amount of that was indeed in the show so far, but there were still a few things I don't recall being implied, though if they were they were real subtle about it. Like the thing with
Villagiulio is younger brother of the future king of De Metrio and where they found Vox Aura
, if you can point out where those were mentioned that would be great.
I think what threw me off was that even though you were speculating based on available information you wrote it like it was a clear matter-of-fact summary of what's been explained so far.

There's a prequel manga that was like, really really short.

Spoilers:
Apparently Lan's Vox went berserk and Yurikano scarificed herself or something to stop it in the past.

Also, Kyouko is an archaeologist who researched Vox in the past, and who Madoka's mom was involved with (though we don't know how or how she died/is gone) judging by the picture and her dialogue in Ep.2 (I think that's the one). If Lan and her brother are with Le Garite, and Kiss split from Demetria (which didn't exist in the flashback), his Lord title is directly related to his blood within Demetria, also the Yurikano stuff. This is because it's established that three factions that eventually became 4.

If that's true, a special section of my hate is reserved for productions that split essential backstory plot information across two or more sources, especially considering Hulu is simulcasting the series. The least Viz could do then is provide a translation of said manga.

Yeah, that bit about Villagiulio, it's never said or overly implied in the episode, so I too wonder where that comes from.

Code Geass was incredibly guilty of this
i.e. Jeremiah.

There is still more than enough time for more background story.

This is true; I suppose it just means that those able to read the manga have a slight jump start on the rest of us.

Anyway, I guess I shouldn't get too worked up over it all. Took a quick spin back through the other episodes and I'm satisfied with what I know has been stated/implied so far; nothing else I can do anyway but sit back and wait, and episode 6 looks like it'll be a blast.

By the by, for anyone who can read Japanese, there seems to be a sample of the prequel manga here. Some of the later pages in it appear to be slightly NSFW.

Watch out, evil girl clique coming through.

Flashbacks to things earlier in the episode? Pretty lazy. But the superimposed clip art explosion (spoiler if you're oblivious to how this show works) was a little much. Stuff keeps happening, but I'm not really sure what purpose most of it serves, because it doesn't feel like this series has really gone anywhere in the past few episodes. The further this show gets from the Yuno/Yuki stuff the more it seems lost, and all that's left is a bunch of stupid stuff that makes no sense, and has no impact because the show doesn't seem to care about or emphasize the crazy things that can happen. This episode was pretty bad.

Orangejulius is explained at the start of episode 5. Where they found Vox Aura is explained in episode 4.

The only things that were specifically speculation in my post were about the war. Everything else has been explained in the episodes, all I did was insert the framework which I think fits the many facts we have already been given.

Agreed.
People need to learn priorities when it comes to shows like Rinne.
It is about the hnnnng and how it came to be.
It's more like with Kingdom Hearts games and how whoever the fuck writes those (Nomura or Toriyama or Nojima or the janitor) keeps giving us plots about clones and hearts and bodies and people are all like "fuck off I'm just playing this for the action and the Disneys".

Orangejulius is explained at the start of episode 5. Where they found Vox Aura is explained in episode 4.

I rewatched the start of episode 5 and I didn't see a mention/implication of Villagiulio being the younger brother of the future king of a country. Are you sure it's mentioned/implied there?

I would respond further, but as has been said it's probably against the spirit of the show to prolong this discussion. I'll just await the wind, water, and fire.

Young Orangejulius: Your brother will soon become the next king of Le Garite.
Young Orangejulius: He may be forced to fight wars against his will.
Young Orangejulius: That is why...you must never change the way you are and be there for your brother at all times.
Young HNNNNNGH: Of course. Same to you!
Young Orangejulius: Yes, of course.

Clear enough for you yet?

Also he has the title of LORD.

I see where you get that now, but I interpreted it differently. I interpreted that to mean
he too must not change the way he is and be there for her brother.
You might be right and I might have taken that exchange wrongly, we'll see I guess.
