Winter Brawl 8 Fighting game tournament February 21st - 23rd

I am 100% certain that if Flocker didn't play Zero he would never win against Justin. His Vergil and Hawkeye are PRINGLES against that Wolverine rushdown.

Justin's offense against Vergil has improved tremendously. Flocker's Vergil didn't get to play in 6 games. Same thing happened to Flux's Vergil.

Is his Vergil even good? I haven't seen Flocker's Vergil being more than just decent.

The closer to the end of Marvel tournaments we get, the worse the the matches tend to be. Top 32 wasn't bad, Top 8 kind of sucked. Grand finals was garbage.

i got a feeling for you where it's probably because of the nature of the teams and folks getting their setups and whatnot much tighter as it closes into top 8 into grand finals. basically matches look more and more one sided as it closes to top 8 because they have to be tight to get into that so the matches start to have less and less (interesting?) decision-making moments

it's hard to tell because of the nature of incoming mixups, but yeahhhh i'm not too sure either tbh because there really shouldn't be a major reason why zero should be getting touched in that starting showdown. justin was really putting the fear into flocker with the explosive paces of those matches.

like the only dudes who i think could fight justin 'evenly' when removing the disparity between team selections are chris g and pr rog and even then sometimes i question chris g being on that list. (assuming they're all playing seriously/hungry)

Yeah that describes his Vergil about right. Decent but not god tier.

His Zero carries him a ton much like many Zero players (like Flux). He does have the best fundamentals with the character... he beat RayRay's Magneto completely in the neutral (100 to 0 off of no combos, just neutral).

It's Rise from Persona 4.

Wait, really? Is it fanart or something? I've only played a bit of the game (holding out on getting a Vita to play that version) but it doesn't really look like her or the official artstyle. Is this how you're getting anime into the weekly thread???

Right. I'm not saying that the shit they do isn't impressive, but from a purely viewing stand-point, it just seems like matches i've seen a million times, with a lot of the time the matches being very one-sided. I also think this just comes with watching it since UMvC3 started.

Haven't watched an FGC stream in a while, HAVE I MISSED THE HYPE?
If you want hype go watch the Marvel stream archive for Friday or the previous House of Crack. Better than anything I've seen today or from AE/Marvel yesterday.

Nah man yesterday we had the Rikir and Punisher matches of the year. Those two matches were the matches of the tournament.

3d is better than 2d. They understand your feelings and really support you when you really need them. 2d just whines and bitches. They are like aliens who just lay there during sex.
