That episode is one I've come to appreciate a lot more as I got older. It's a parody of horror action movies like Alien, but it still manages to emphasize how utterly pathetic everyone in the show is. Except Ein cause he's a dog and he cares not for silly human conditions.

Shakugan no Shana Movie
So this is basically taking the first arc and squeezing it together into a 90 minute film. So, it keeps all the cringe worthy stuff with MC's friends and school crap and all the holy crap nice action of the fight against the first boss.
Have I said the action is really nice. Cause it is really nice, especially the last fight of the movie. They made the villain even more fun and creepier than the TV show which is awesome.
Of course, there was still time spent on MC's horrible friends. While it was nice they spent the money on an insert song for Not|Shana's whole thing, time was still wasted on WORSTGIRLEVER.

Wow was about to actually watch Senran Kagura just to see what was all the fuss about it but didnt know it was like that and all, guess ill avoid it.
I haven't seen the episode yet, but if that's how Japanese workplaces are still operating, then doesn't that become a realistic depiction as opposed to a perpetuation of old-school gender dynamics?
K-on Season 1 op is great, I never liked the OP for season 2, especially with the awful CG spin.

For better or for worse, I shrug it off in a "lol japan u so crazy and backward" way, but yours is a completely understandable way of looking at it - and probably a "better" one. (Probably not the right word for what I mean...)
The office dynamic does seem slightly strange in the show in other ways, though. Not only are there two "editors" in their early 20s at a seemingly high profile magazine (when the likelihood is, surely, that they'd be sub-editors doing grunt work, not writing whole articles), but the young employees talk to their bosses in a way I find very surprising, regardless of this being a Japanese show.

I like everything about Roman. I probably shouldn't judge it from only the first episode, but wow. The animation is great, I love the characters and the premise. I think Monkey Punch's art style really shines through here, it's so cool. I'm really looking forward to next week.

They need to save announcements for cons and stuff. Penguindrum was like announced only 3 or so months before release even, so it cant be that unlikely that they could be sitting on it...

staggering home with injuries suffered from his earlier encounter with ZOicite.
Zoicite appears on his TV and says he wants to battle for the remaining crystals.
slaps him on the back where he got stabbed.
He mentions how energetic she is and then runs off. Usagi
notices blood on her hand and notices he in injured. She follows him. They end up in the park, and zoicite transports them to Star Light tower.
Minako appears and tells them she went to the tower
Mamoru confronts Zoicite in the tower. Both of them place their crystals in a pile in the middle of the room. Zoicite tells Mamoru he fucked up as Kunzite appears and takes all the crystals.
Usagi wakes up as zoicite is leaving, but overhears his comments about the rainbow crystals.
Zoicite turns the ceiling into icicles and as they are running Usagi thinks about tuxedo Kamen's wound and how similar it is to Mamoru's. they make it to the elevator to go meet Zoicite.

In the elevator, Usagi asks Mamoru why he needs to crystals. He says he needs to regain some lost memories. his parents were killed when he was young in a car crash that left him with amnesia. He needs the silver crystal to remember who he is as told in a recurring dream he has about the moon Princess telling him to find it.
and suspects he might be Tuxedo Kamen.
Kunzite turns the tower into an evil shithole. Zoicite throws a deadly energy beam down the elevator shaft and Usagi realizes she better transform or they will both die. Mamoru realizes that Usagi is Sailor Moon and shits bricks. Zoicite thinks they are dead, but Sailor moon and Mamoru appear unharmed at the top.

Tuxedo Kamen realizes and gets in the way, getting stabbed in the process. The senshi arrive too late to save him.
Anyway, Sailor moon is crying over Mamoru and there is a reaction in the crystals Kunzite is holding. They go to Sailor moon and transform into the Phantom Silver Crystal. It also does something to her wand.

I watched this raw - so while I missed out on the swan songs of the artist, I think I got the gist of it. This really is just boob porn, isn't it? I don't mind it so much, but I'm pretty happy they addressed and acknowledged me this time! More on that in a moment.

This wasn't a bad episode, the orchestrated music was excellent throughout, and the OP was pretty nice! The animation is a mixed bag though, at times it looked really good, and it's obvious where all the talent and money went, lol - other times I had issues with derp faces, no faces, long faces, and bad foreshortening (especially arms that were stretched out).

DFC, wide hips, thighs to die for! It's sort of a shame she looks so weird and stick-like in every scene where she isn't being sexualized - and that seems to be pretty much all of them. For shame.
But in the end, Artist-san drew a beautiful image of Kaede (nsfw!). And I mean beautiful! Of course it's a very simplistic Japanese wash with no background - but her soft gaze, her delicate disrobing and feminine fingers are all handled with care and sensitivity. Her subtle barely-there mounds have been played down every so slightly - choosing instead to allow the curvature of her torso to peak with the nipple before being picked up again by the outer pectoral muscle by a line that tapers gracefully up to her clavicle. A choice that reflects the sensibilities of a fine and caring man, who pours of all his passions, and every ounce of attention to the creations below his fingertips.
While the majority of the episode did little to entertain me, the finishing shot of this illustration makes me very, very happy.
Er... the Miki Puchi has blonde hair just like Miki herself. It's not that hard to work out.
