WOW is selling for double on ebay, and they're only the regular editions. I guess those rumors about blizzard pulling the games from shelves for abit is true huh?

they are not pulling the game from the shelves, they are just limiting shipments.. its getting a little fishy for my tastes. While it is the biggest MMORPG out there, and a damn good one i'll play for a long time. Many servers still have low population, they could stand to ship another 100k copies of it. For all we know at our local gamestop, we don't expect any more for at least a couple weeks acording to an email we got. They are aparently withholding shipments to prevent overcrowding.

Thier database was seperate (unified for all servers), and was the main bottleneck. They've supposedly got some more hardware up and running and segmented the data. Now they are trying to get everything configured and running smoothly.

So no.. it wasn't a server population issue.

The alternative is to let too many people sign up and have 100+ minute wait queues on several servers until Blizzard can buy more servers.

Or they could just limit shipments until they buy more servers...just an idea I came up with.

holy shit!! i went to fry's tonight and they had 200 copies. picked up two, listed them on ebay at 9:30. Had my first offer to buy it now at 10:00, listed it at $85

Circuitcity.com had it in stock for a while. I was debating getting the game for a few weeks. I finally decided to get it and they no longer even had a listing for the game on their site
