Yes, and it does not matter imho.

It's Germany and there are no Nazi-symbols etc. allowed in games. So I'm perfectly fine with the way they handled it, the alternative would have been not to be able to play it at all!



That does not mean that I understand the logic behind this, as I can watch entertaining movies like Indiana Jones with all the symbols etc. intact. But it is what it is.

You are talking all the time about how the whole theme of the game was changed. Its not. Even with fantasy names and changed word. Its still about a world where a group of german people from World War 2 who consider their genes as superior took over. Call them Nazis, Trump-Supporter or Buttlickers. Its still the same in the end.

I found the games to be unfocused, and poorly designed in places. Too many cinematics, forced stealth segments, etc. The strength is the gunplay, but the game focuses on too many features, like cinematics and stealth, that distract from this.

What have the done to address these issues? Aside being better to look at, what makes this a better game?

The New Order and DOOM were one of the best first person shooter's from the last couple of years. This looks like it compliments on everything I loved about the first one, and improves it.

See the gold rings across his neck and then consider the Cat-Monkey creature from the beginning of the trailer that has a cat head translated to a monkey's body, he/she also has the same rings. Regarding the german version:

You always have to keep on mind, that the ban on Swastikas etc. is based on a court decision from 1994 regarding the original Wolfenstein. Games weren't seen as appropriate medium to handle such topics. This has changed though, but it would need a new court ruling that overturns the old one, so it needs a Publisher to take such a game to court.
