Half-naked woman, 26, is charged with indecent exposure for 'masturbating on street-level patios in front of horrified onlookers'

A semi-nude woman was arrested in Austin for pleasuring herself on two street-level patios, according to court documents.

Dovie Nickels, 26, was charged with indecent exposure for the Tuesday arrest that occurred near the JW Marriot Austin hotel at approximately 5.20pm.

Responding officers found Nickels sitting alone at a patio table at the Second Bar + Kitchen on the 200 block of Congress Avenue, an arrest affidavit obtained by the Statesman.

When they approached the woman, police said that Nickels had stopped moving her arms and brought them from under the table.

Officers then noted that the woman 'was not wearing any pants.'

While being handcuffed, police reported that Nickels continued masturbating in the back seat of a patrol car.

Authorities then spoke with a JW Marriot employee who said that the woman had been at the hotel's street level patio just earlier in the day.

The staff member added that he saw Nickels 'holding a silver object' to her crotch 'with her legs straight up in the air, spread open.' He added that he 'could hear Nickels making moaning noises,' the affidavit states.

When the employee tried to approach the woman, he told police that she started yelling at him to get back.

He added that the woman was masturbating at the hotel 'for approximately 7 or 8 minutes' before rushing off to the next area.

Nickels is currently being held at the Travis County Jail with a bail set $3000.
