Robertsan has emailed me about this thread and he has asked me to tell you guys that he is sincerely apologetic about this thread. He feels the ban should be lifted or shortened because other people have also posted disrespectful comments in the "Looting" thread, but did not get hit by the banstick. He feels he was being treated unfairly and is asking the Mods to reconsider this ban.

Personally, while I do also think his previous comment should have been left out, the whole situation is exaggerated and is being made a big deal. Why is that? It's pretty clear that his original comment was just a crack at Africa's Aids pandemic, but he at least edited that comment, and it seems he did not make that comment to offend anyone. He is not racist.

Obviously in this GAF community we interact with people of different colors and cultures so everyone should be cautious of their comments, but because there are so many different views it is hard to to say -anything- without offending -someone-.

So I ask the mods to please unban Robertsan21 or at least shorten his ban (he has 28 more days apparently) because I know him and I have to say that he is one of the nicest person I know. I know for a fact that he did not attempt to offend anyone.
