both very close to 50% visible minority. they've always been very multicultural, but the asian population really exploded after Hong Kong was handed back to the Chinese in 1997, and recently the SE Asian population has been coming over in droves.ToxicAdam said:Boy, it didn't seem that way when I visited ten years ago. Explain. This list sure does love white people.
MidnightScott said:What, Houston Texas isn't on that list? blasphemy!
Atrus said:Calgary is a work-centric, poorly planned city. There's really no reason it should be on the list. You're here for the money or because you're family is here. It's only great if you have low expectations of enjoyment.

Nice view, but if I lived there I would fear to have it blocked in a few years by new buildings like the one on the right...

The top Asian city was Osaka at number 12

BocoDragon said:Well as I've always said, Vancouver is the most peaceful, safest place I've ever lived. Beautiful sights. And general multi-cultural harmony.
On the other hand... night culture is pretty.... enh. This place closes down too early. It's also expensive.
Delightful Oonsk said:Also congrats to Australia cleaning up. I heard you guys have a poisonous frog infestation or some shit but other than that you seem pretty cool.

Definitely. I'm not willing to pay the $50 cab ride, so that means I NEVER stay out until last call, etcTabris said:YES! Right on. The multi-cultural harmony is my favorite part of this city. But the city does close down too early, especially the skytrain. Before I moved downtown, it cost me like $50-70 to cab home after a night drinking. If they really want to cut down on drunk driving, they need to keep skytrain open until 3am. At least on the weekends.
