London moved up one place to 53rd while Paris came in at number 16.

I'm surprised to see such a difference between London and Paris since I've always found them quite similar, maybe even with a slight preference to London (I love both, but big parks, free museums, low traffic inside the city are very pleasant parts of the London life).

As for the top 10, I've only visited Vienna as a tourist but wasn't really thrilled by it. I intend to visit Finland and Canada soon, though.

Nope. That section is an area called Gastown. It's mainly protected historic areas (cobble streets) and requires a lot to get anything built there and except for Woodwards building you see infront of you, nothing tall is being built.

Well as I've always said, Vancouver is the most peaceful, safest place I've ever lived. Beautiful sights. And general multi-cultural harmony.

On the other hand... night culture is pretty.... enh. This place closes down too early. It's also expensive.

I'm glad to consider it my home base... even if I travel elsewhere.

YES! Right on. The multi-cultural harmony is my favorite part of this city. But the city does close down too early, especially the skytrain. Before I moved downtown, it cost me like $50 to cab home after a night drinking. If they really want to cut down on drunk driving, they need to keep skytrain open until 3am. At least on the weekends.

Australian frogs are cool.

Cane toads are fucked-up, but more a threat to wildlife than to humans. And, in turn, humans are an implacable threat to cane toads: cars, cricket bats, golf clubs. The culture of cane-toad extermination was pretty goddamn strong when, I suppose, most of AUS-GAF were growing up.
