Wanted to go the Party my best friend(who is Srilanese Tamil or whatever you call Sri Lanka residents in English),he is from one of the Parts hit by the Tsunami,but his mother was holding pretty good in the meantime,and today she totally broke down in tears and stuff,they dont know the destiny of many of thier relatives yet and she is increasingly desperate.Obviously no party for me today.

I got the whole apartment to myself tonight. My friend invited to a party at his parent's beach house. He originally was going to give me a ride but his girlfriend made him take her friends instead. I was kind of bummed out about that plus I don't have a car anymore after moving to NYC. Screw Time Square. I'm going to get caught in that madness.

I'm old, I had no interest in going out. Partly because there was a blizzard last night/today and it's colder than a witch's tit outside and the roads are shit to boot. But really I just didn't feel like it, nothing going on sounded interesting and my wife's still feeling the effects of the flu. Ah well.

Still, the New Years we spent in LA for the fucking millennium was AWFUL. LA had probably the worst Y2K "party" of any major city in the world and I was there to see it unfold. :lol We ended up (the three of us) driving around trying to find the "party" we were sure must be going on somewhere and welcomed the new millennium standing on a hill laughing about the lameness.

I was trying to organize a big New Year's Party with my friends. However, as days came closer to tonight, people continued dropping out, until I am sitting here at home with only me, my brother, and his girlfriend here. Only one of my friends and his fiance came out to hang out at my place, but they left an hour ago.

Worst New Year's ever. My friends suck.
