Yeah Konfabulator is good stuff. We've been talking about it for at least a year now, not sure why you're so late to the party :p

That's the problem i have with GUI enhancements. It's cool for a day to a week or two, but the simple fact is that XP provides enough functionality to do everything i need to do, it just lacks the looks of said enhancements. i've downloaded Konfab and i'm giving it a go, and hopefully the shareware warning won't be too obtrusive.

Before I install this for the desktop calendar and weather displays that I've always wanted, how easy is it on the resources?

Each widget uses 4-8 megs of RAM, and basically zero CPU power until you hit F8 to make them appear.
