Jane is actually fun to watch and the 1up crew at least look like they might be enjoying their work. jane pinckard ftw.

And the Metroid Hunters stuff just showed the difference, 1up asked them a couple of difficult questions, this was pure PR fluff.

Chobot's trying so so hard to be hot but fails utterly because of it. Just look at how she looks at the camera, moves, or the pure cheapness that is the last scene with the "stop and eat" sign behind her with an arrow that points at her... And wtf on the conference comment, "kickass conference" it's like she's trying to give the appearance that conferences are some sort of rock shows. Sorry IGN, but women who appear to be as bright as a broken lightbulb/not interested in what they cover, and gives that air of trying too hard are not hot. Jane>>Chobot

Yeah.. while the 1up show is actually something that is also enjoyable to watch for its non-gaming bits, I do think the Gamespot crew still has some interesting video coverage too. Ok, some of them are slightly awkward in front of the camera, but, for instance, their e3 video coverage is pretty solid. I watched it last year (you can watch it as a non-member at about a one hour delay). Don't really watch their weekly shows that often any more to be honest though (like on the spot).

It certainly is way better than this IGN thing...

their end of year show last year was so bloody awful - I was pretty mad at myself for wasting my bandwidth downloading it for some pseudo-hack-professional-wanabee stylin and some guy talking really badly + pointless interviews with their journos. At least 1up has some sort of ghetto character

I agree with this. Actually, the "Hotspot" audio podcast that they put together weekly is actually really good in my opinion. I download a few video game podcasts, including the hotspot and the 1up podcast, and would have to say the gamespot one is my favorite.
