The new track is several times larger than anything else in the game! After it downloaded I set a custom race with five laps, as I usually do, just to try the track out and I think it worked out at about 12Km long.
This isn't my video but I'll post it just to show the track.

Yeah! And it's great! If I'm not mistaken, it took me 6:18 to finish the track and enjoyed every second of it as it looked exactly as I remembered the original game. I hope they do a Rally Trophy lookalike next

Jesus, i dont know if its just because i literally just watched a FH5 vid but why does this look so bad?. Is it a fan made track that they have used to make this update?, they have done that before with some of the map packs.

So, it's intentionally a lo-fi track, instead of fully remade in Wreckfest engine?

Because my first impression was that maybe large-scale tracks don't work out so well in Wreckfest, given how simple the geometry of the track is here. (It's one long racing corridor, complete with tree-painted bounding walls.) BUT if that's intentional, though, then that's interesting, and it looks like the play is really wild and fun over the full course even if it isn't gorgeous.

(I'm not complaining about the graphics, BTW; I'm in line to get Wreckfest on Switch if the port works out, so graphics aren't a problem, I just know Wreckfest usually looks richer than this and wasn't sure if the problem was just the extended length of the track.)

It's a track from the game Rally Trophy (2001) made by the same devs, Bugbear. There is a Carmageddon track too.

My first attempt at a race was on the hardest difficulty with full damage, I think I made it about 500m before making contact with seemingly every other car in the race. Looking at the bright side though, I think one of my wheels did overtake me at one point and shot off down the track and lasted about 100m longer than the rest of my car did.

Wreckfest's January 2022 tournament update brings snow to the tracks, as well as the ability to take control of the Pocket Rocket to unleash snowballs on the competition and wreck as many AI cars as you can.
