Don't miss the Summer Roadmap Update Trailer for Assassin's Creed Shadows, the latest addition to the action stealth RPG franchise developed by Ubisoft.
Players can get the rundown on the latest updates coming to the game with the arrival of New Game+, the ability to fast-forward the time of day, and the Claws of Awaji expansion coming to the game in September. The Summer Updates for Assassin's Creed Shadows, coming soon for PlayStation 5 (PS5), Xbox Series X|S, macOS, and PC (Steam).

I got this free with a gpu and looks like the expansion should come with it since I have the preorder dog quest done already.

Funny, I wanted this game to crash und burn, but after playing it, despite its flaws, especially the jumbled mission design which sucks ass, I can't deny its graphical feat. I still love the weather system and effects.

I'm glad this is getting the support. Now I hope GoY crashes and burns.

Their engine has nothing to do with the talent in charge of making the actual video game. Ubisoft has quality engines, but zero talent when it comes to game development. Actually maybe it has nothing to do with talent. Maybe they do have the talent, but the retarded higher ups don't allow them to create what they want, and instead, force them to build microtransaction stores in disguise of video games.

I haven't beaten the game yet, but I do want to see what the expansion is like.

respectable free updates too.

I still can't believe they put George Floyd in a game set in feudal Japan and expected people to swallow it whole like it was normal

Fucking hell, what a timeline :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I have no interest in the samurai gameplay (nothing to do with historical accuracy or cause he's a black dude, just looks shitty) how much of the game is actual stealth / Tenchu gameplay? And is there still a lot of playing in the future stuff?

Honestly, just want to play a Tenchu game. How much of this game gets in the way of that. I haven't really cared about AC stuff since Unity…

wish they would improve the combat in one these updates. The auto targetting of different enemies makes me dizzy. Almost impossible to get into the flow of combat esp playing at 30 fps on ps5 pro.

They're adding a bunch of inconsequential stuff when what the game needs is a better mission structure, tweaks to combat, and more interesting things to do in the open world.

As much as you want? there's only a few moments where you are forced to switch; and now with the day time fast forward coming they've essentially broken the game because the ninja is much more powerful at night.

"The ability to unfog the map by completing every single viewpoint per region"

Can a Shadows player explain to me how it currently works instead? Because normally in AC (and Far Cry) this is how it should already work.

Time of day ff is retarded, there's zero reason to play during day now, just make it perpetual night instead 🤷

This was the previous update
Zero reason? I will constantly change to daytime to be in awe of those nextgen graphics. Looks good at nighttime too but daytime is where it shines, obviously.

Kacho Kacho it's your time to shine, it is an Assassin's Creed Shadow thread.
Not a sales thread so it's safe.

If people want to waste their time playing this slop again in NG+ to make the sun go up, more power to them. I'll stick to playing real games like Everybody's Golf and Silent Hill f in September.

yes and no, some earlier ACs worked that way but even brotherhood had issues with it fully revealing, AC3 definitely didn't and neither did unity, or odyssey or valhalla; shadows also has a lot of mountains that are hard to traverse so you'd wind up with permanent fog in some areas.
