Wreckless 2 ingame shots...kinda bad quality though

The Bunkasha guys work for cheap. Somebody should slip them a few bucks and get them working on a 360 conversion.

Bunkasha main graphics coder is one of the world's specialist in HDR lighting (Masaki Kawase). I don't think Xbox can handle true HDR, but they certainly have some way to "emulate" the effect.

Yeah I agree. MS should have hired them to make this for X360 as an "ultimate" graphics demo. Original Wreckless came in few months after the Xbox launch (february 2002 iirc) and sold really well. I think the main factors where the jaw-droppingly good graphics and the fact that there werent that many other games.... or if there were it was crap like Blood Wake.
 
Looks pretty good -- I'm totally not a fan of Wreckless (stupid shitty piece of crap gameplay) but it does look really nice. They cleared the severe blur from the first game too.
 
That looks amazing.

Equally amazing that such talent is working on such a low-profile game. If MS had any sense they'd bring these guys into MGS Japan.

I just want to see some in game shots from PGR3. It's hard to get a feel for the graphical presense of the game with the camera angles they use in trailers.
 
That's incredible looking! Motion is so important when viewing a game. In motion, I really do think it looks much better than something like Full Auto.

I think PGR3 looks much better, though.
 
PGR3 does not look a lot better than this simly because there is such a focus on realism here. The lighting and shadowing and perfect and the blur adds so much to the overall look.

The cars in the PGR3 trailer I saw looked awkward and out of place. SHOW ME IN GAME FOOTAGE, BIZARRE.

Wreckless 2 is the most impressive XBOX title I've seen.
 
impressive, but then again so was the first wreckless, and from this video i can't tell if this actually looks better.

I did not hear anything about such a plan. Hopefully they will announce something about it at the Game Convention.
 
Wreckless sold amazingly well, enough to greenlight outsorced PS2/GC ports even. I bet Mastiff picks it up given their staff were formerly the part of Activision responsible for localizing Wreckless and other JP games (Bloody Roar 2-3/PF, Guardian's Crusade, VOOT, Blue Stinger, Tenchu 1-3, Sky Odyssey, Pinobee, Bomberman Tournament, Space Invaders PS, Alundra 2, etc). Seems like a perfect fit really. :)
 
Looks to be more flashy fun chaos just like the first. Plus now with the added bonus of what looks like a '58 Vette with a side-mounted rocket launcher...

Hopefully this thing gets over here (voices are already in English, at least some snippets we can hear).
 
The needless full-screen blurring effect ruined the original Wreckless-- provided they removed it from the sequel I'll be picking it up.

I just saw more shots and they look stunning.
There is just something about the lighting, the blur, and the effects that makes everything look JUST PERFECT to me.

Full Auto doesn't even look like those pics yet. It looks like ass...it had to be said again. Sorry, you can't paint the game as good looking when it's one of the worst-looking 360 games so far. That's saying a lot, b/c there's a lot of underwhelming stuff so far. Full Auto would be lucky to look as good as those pics. That would at least be passable as next-gen IMO. PEACE.

EDIT: Oh, and on-topic, Wreckless is an absolutely gorgeous game. Might still be the most impressive Xbox showcase to this date.

Yeah, I still bust it out on occasion to play the boat and docks levels and watch my replays, just to look at the hotness. I just might play right now..

Playable on Xbox Live. I don't have much details about this mode yet, hopefully my friend in Japan will get the game today and tell me a bit more about it.
 
Wreckless 2? Where the hell did this game come from? Is any publisher planning to release it in America? The first game was pretty fun, but the controls were sloppy. This game could be a lot of fun on Xbox Live.
