"NEAR-RIOT ERUPTS IN MEXICO CITY DURING APPEARANCE BY NWA WORLD CHAMPION JEFF JARRETT
Security and police called in to escort Jarrett out of arena

The El Toreo arena in Mexico City nearly erupted in a full-scale riot on Sunday night during an appearance by NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett.

During the main event of the huge AAA “Verano de Escandalo” show in front of over 20,000 spectators, police and extra security had to be called in after fans rushed the ring and threw hundreds of projectiles at Jarrett.

In a total show of disrespect, Jarrett mocked the Mexican spectators and their culture during an in-ring interview. Fans began pelting the star with bolts and rocks, at which point Jarrett further instigated the crowd by throwing tortillas back at them.

Fearing for his safety, Jarrett escaped the deluge and left the ring surrounded by a crowd of police and security. The NWA World Heavyweight Champion was hurried away in a waiting car and escorted back to his hotel by police.

The incident is the second time the World Champion has caused a near-riot at the arena. The first occurred in 2004 during a AAA event.

Jarrett was scheduled to return to Nashville on Monday morning on the first flight out of Mexico City."

Please tell me there's photos of this somewhere. :lol :lol

yes it's legit. TNAwrestling.com has VIDEO of it.

This is why Jarrett is such a good champ... he's a god among HEELS!

HHH only WISHES he could get this kind of reaction.

Watch your back, man...

Yeah I posted that in another thread. I still don't like Jarret as champion, but he's certainly has potential to be a great heel. Just needs more diversity in his act, that's all.

BTW, the first edition of Impact! on Spike will open with AJ Style vs. Roderick strong. Boy, people who have never seen these 2 wrestle are in for a real fucking treat. This will probably be the best match on TV this year so far (Along with HBK vs. Benjamin,Angle vs. Benjamin, Nunzio vs. London and Benoit vs. Regal on Velocity), and I'm sure TNA will top the quality of this match fairly quickly. :)

:lol those videos are hilarious, first he makes his triumphant entrance albeit being pelted, then the next vid you see he's totally running out of the arena hahaha

Yeah this time last year i wouldnt be all that excited about Strong. He just seemed pretty average to me. He chopped really hard and had some wicked back breakers but that was about it. But he has improved so much over the last year that he very well could be the ROH wrestler of the year. Plus he got rid of those ugly tights that made his legs look all short and stumpy.
