Everyone in story modes have horse eyes and it is creepy as fuck. When you beat Rey with Cena (and that reminded me how shitty that angle was for the night), Cole's audio is cut off by the start of the cut scene. And when the cut scene ends, it finishes the clip. Then it shows Cena and Punk with HHH between them, but it is 2003 Evolution era HHH.

Kind of, I think it's for parity because they couldn't get story, finisher and any entrances other than the main rosters done in time on next gen. We'll see in 3 weeks!

The way they are hiding the game, you know something is up. The game has to be gold already by this point to be in stores by the 18th. The gameplay that was leaked from August looks like garbage and I'd guess it won't get much better than what we saw there.

I seem to recall that happening every now and then on 2K14 too. Also I don't know if it's just for the Who Got NXT mode but when the referee counts, the mat doesn't make any sounds.

The day 1 patch for the game didn't fix any issues. It just adds support for the season pass. Obviously that is more important for 2k than to fix the numerous glitches with the game.

Its really embarrassing how similar the models look considering the power disparity.
Sounds are fucked up all over the place. Sometimes impact sounds are delayed. Sometimes there are no sounds. The crowd boos faces and randomly goes insane over nothing and then quiet a second later. Twice I've had Cole and King get stuck looping the same phrase for 1-3 minutes. They frequently will say the same phrase after one another anyway. I've had Cole's audio cut out during a cut scene, then resume mid sentence when it is over. I've had Cole and King's audio NOT stop during a cut scene, so it had 2 different audio streams talking over each other. Then you have silly things like using the real audio from shows, which means random Booker T talking when only King and Cole are at ringside.
Unrelated to audio, the 2K Showcase is sloppy as shit. Especially when you play one of the matches and then they show clips of the real thing, which points out how many little things they got wrong. MITB '11, for example. Cena has white shoes in the game, black in real life. Punk has a beard in the game, clean shaven in real life. For Summerslam, HHH's hair is down, while it was tied back in real life. Even worse on that front is that more than once, on the loading screens the 2003 Evolution era HHH (with dark brown hair) is used instead of COO 2011 HHH. 2003 HHH standing between Punk and Cena in 2011. THe loading screens all appear to be from the next gen version. They all look off as well, but not as bad as the models in this. Some look pretty good. Cena nad Punk both look awful in the Showcase. Everyone has the wonkiest eyes. Punk often looks like Cobie Smulders. Cena looks like Barney Rubble. Vince looked HORRIBLE and even worse in motion, which is really weird because Johnny Ace beside him looked pretty great.

Holy fuck Heyman looks horrible. Doesn't look like him at all. It's like Michael Corleone in The Godfather games level of "We don't have the rights to his likeness, so make a generic balding middle aged guy with a skullet and suit". GM AJ looks like AJ if you squint really hard and she got hit in the face with a frying pan 3 or 4 times.

At SS 2012, the name of the wrestlers flash on screen after the name plate is gone. The opening shot also makes it appear that the entire arena is bleachers only. So much jank and slop in this game, and the last 2 years were super janky and sloppy. There is also sometimes terrible slow down coming out of a cut scene during a match. Other notes from this match: Ryback is in the ring 20 seconds after the triple powerbomb from Shield. Cena and Ryback get stuck in a loop of Ryback trying to pick Punk off the mat and Cena trying to back grapple him to break it up. That went on for about a minute. I almost restarted the match because I thought it was going to go forever. Cena getting frozen in the ropes trying to do the STF.
Looking at the next gen models in stills in Showcase, Rock and AJ look much better in the 360 version, even though GM AJ looks awful. She's somehow going to look significantly worse in the next gen version.

I need to get a sticky note and put it on my forehead with this: The thing is, these LAST GEN versions are the same exact game as WWE 2K14 with removed features for absolutely no reason at all to justify it other than feature parity with the current gen version, or to make the current gen version look better by comparison.
I'm not expecting all the features of the old gen version to match the current gen one, it's just a ripoff to charge $60 for a reskinned 2K14 that's worse in every way. If the old gen version is this bad with the same exact engine, what's the current gen version going to be like?

2002 masked Kane's Titan Tron video is 2003 maskless Kane. Also, HOLY SHIT he looks awful. 100% have seen better looking CAWS of Kane. In this casket match, HBK pops out and suddenly has long, mostly blond hair. HHH tries to put me in the casket. It teleports PAST the casket, so he's actually shoving me more into the announce table, and then it teleports back.
On top of that, you can win the match without ever using the casket mini game if you do a second chokeslam. You automatically win. And THEN, the picture of HBK for the next gen version of the same scene has him wearing a completely different outfit, with a different hair cut, and different color of hair.

If it doesn't, then Cole and King vanish and reappear at random. King gives commentary about the 2014 Royal Rumble during HBK/Batista set in 2003. Sheriff Austin is shown in a next gen picture with HHH and HBK...in his wrestling gear. In some of the videos, the WWE scratch logo is blurred. Not the WWF one. The WWE one. There is one video where the water mark is blurred, but the giant WWE logo on a truck isn't. Some videos show blood, some are in black and white. It seems like a couple just slipped through. Benoit's leg made it into the WM20 video. Batista goes from a suit in a video to track pants and shirtless in the game. HHH's shirt color and hair change from video to game as well.

I think WWE edits the video packages... and like the rest of the game they would have been done months ago, before the logo switch. What the hell?
Edit: And as shown during the VGCW stream, R-Truth's entrance still uses his 2011 heel mini-tron, and he still doesn't rap on his way to the ring.

Eh. Some will and some won't Graphically the game is improved as for gameplay we will just have to wait and see until we try it ourselves. The cut features are most likely going to be the same on the next gen version. We will have MyCareer mode though.
I'm still looking forward to the next gen version and the cut content doesn't surprise me. My biggest gripe is the lack of entrance animations. I was hoping for a bit more than 3 generic ones.
