WWE's Elimination Chamber PPV airs this Sunday with a Pre-show streaming live on Youtube at 7:30 PM EST.

The main event is a single Elimination Chamber match with Randy Orton defending his title against five top contenders. The build to the Chamber match has seen Randy Orton and other competitors competing against each other round robin style with the story being Orton has lost to everyone in the Chamber except for Christian. Wrestling 101 tells us that this series of losses to the likes of Daniel Bryan, John Cena and Cesaro are build to Orton coming out of the Chamber looking stronger than ever, ready to face the challenge of Batista for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Wrestlemania in a match that is sure to be BOO'd by fans attending the grandest PPV live event of the year.

But wait, there is a wild card!! Rumors have hinted that a Beast will be present at the Elimination Chamber PPV, and while he is not currently booked, he is pissed and is looking to cause an impact. WrassleGaf sources close to the Minneapolis, Minnesota area have reported strange noises coming out of the woods. Our reporters describe sounds that are unnatural and could come from a very pissed off baby dinosaur.

Here is the entire card for the event.....

Pre-show: Cody Rhodes & Goldust (The Brotherhood) vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel (Ex Heyman Guys)

While the Elimination Chamber is always a fun match, there are a few matches that could steel the show on this PPV. The Shield vs The Wyatt Family has been an early contender for feud of the year, and the match should be the best trios tag team match WWE has showcased in years if it is given the proper run time on the card. Batista vs Alberto Del Rio looks to be a great match as the Animal returns to PPV singles competition one month ahead of competing in the Wrestlemania main event for the championship. Many (yes, I'm looking at you Sunny Vince) are looking forward to Batista's performance on this PPV to see how he shapes up in a big match atmosphere.

This is the last PPV before the WWE Network goes live Monday February 24th. After this show, every PPV will be available for $9.99 per month with a Network subscription and this is the last PPV most fans should purchase on cable for the full PPV price.

Note: The Elimination Chamber PPV is reported to go live on the WWE Network on or around March 25th. IT WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AT LAUNCH!!!!

Sit back and enjoy what should be a great show!

FOR THE VERY LAST TIME, IT’S LIVE ON PAY PER VIEW, ELIMINATION CHAMBER 2014! I still have no clue what these shows will be called after the move to the WWE Network, since even WWE’s website still has the shows listed as Pay-per-view’s, but that’s a discussion for another time. Because right now, it’s PREDICTION TIME! Yay! So let’s get to it!

20140217_LIGHT_EC_Kickoff_HOMEPAGE_SUN.jpg

Pre-show: Cody Rhodes & Goldust vs. Ryback and Curtis Axel
Poor Cody and Dustin, as per Goldust tweet they’re not getting their WrestleMania singles match against each other, the one they’ve been lobbying for for years. They dropped their belts last month and did a bit of teasing for a break-up, but here they are on the pre-show again and shilling WWE’s fake Lego’s on Raw instead of being in an actual program. They deserve a lot better than what they’re getting, especially with Goldust current form. But alas, they’re stuck fighting Rybaxel on the pre-show in a match that nobody will ever care about. But hey, they’re the faces and in the free match, so Cody and Goldust win regardless.

20140217_LIGHT_EC_OneilYoung_HOMEPAGE.jpg

Titus O’Neil vs. Darren Young
Titus is one of the most charismatic people on the roster right now, the guy is just too damn funny to be a heel for long, but here we are as he turned on Darren and getting a PPV match to, I suppose, blow off their feud. I think Darren is headed towards being travelling buddies with JTG and Zack Ryder next, so that’ll tell you who I think will win this match. I really think the Prime Time Players deserved a tag-team title run and it’s a shame they never got it. This match shouldn’t be anything special as both men aren’t exactly the best technicians in the ring, but that’s okay. Titus should brutally beat up Darren and take the win and the midcard push that goes nowhere.

20140214_EP_LIGHT_EC_matches_bigeswagger_C-homepage.jpg

Intercontinental Championship: Big E vs. Jack Swagger
Jack Swagger won the Elimination Chamber last year… Yep, that happened. I actually forgot about it until somebody mentioned it a few weeks ago. That’s depressing. But hey, at least he gets an IC Title show now. I don’t really see him winning though, he’s been completely overshadowed by Cesaro from the beginning of their team and in recent weeks it’s gotten even worse. I think it’s time for a Cesaro singles push, which means one of these two has to split away from Zeb and I think it will be Swagger and his losing here will play into Zeb and Cesaro dropping the dead weight. So two predictions, 1. There will be a botch that leads to bleeding in this match and 2. Big E retains the belt.

20140214_EP_LIGHT_EC_matches_outlawsusos_HOMEPAGE.jpg

Tag Team Championship: The New Age Outlaws vs. The Usos
I am one of the few people that doesn’t seem to mind too much that the Outlaws got a token title run for nostalgia’s sake, but I’m very much of the opinion that it’s time for the Usos to get their title run, they have been pretty over by the crowd for a while, in part due to one of them being featured on Total Divas I suppose, but also because they’re just a lot of fun to watch. The Outlaws, while fun for nostalgia reasons are not very fun to watch. Expect The Usos to work their asses of in this match to put over the old men, but in the end they just have to win the belts here.

20140127_EP_HP_EC_Batista_DelRio.jpg

Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio
Batista has beat up Alberto Del Rio on every occasion since he came back. Literally. That makes this match the least interesting match on the entire card. Del Rio can’t even touch Batista and yet here is a match between the two to… What? Beat Del Rio up some more? Del Rio should get no offense, be beaten dead and not return on TV ever again, because that’ apparently how much stronger Batista is then him. Batista wins. WWE Creative loses for being utter shit, once more.

20140127_EP_LIGHT_EC_matches_wyatts-shield_C-homepage.jpg

The Wyatt Family vs. The Shield
This is the match that, along with the Chamber, will make this PPV be worthwhile. I don’t know what it is about The Shield that makes WWE Creative not suck, but ever since their debut in 2012 they haven’t missed a single beat in booking these guys. And this feud with The Wyatt’s is no exception. The classic teasing with the heels backing down from the fight (obviously they’re technically both heels, but in this match, The Shield are clearly the faces) has been epic as well, classic wrestling booking and things that WWE should do more often. Regardless, they’re doing it here and this should be an epic brawl. I LOVE IT MAGGLE! As for who should win, there’s something to be said for both teams, but since they are setting up The Shield breaking up I expect some kind of problem in the team that leads to Ambrose taking the loss via pin fall to Bray Wyatt and leading to some kind of angry exchange between Reigns and Ambrose. If the IC and US Title unification is still on the table, I see Reigns or Rollins winning the IC belt soon (maybe on Raw this Monday) and there being a three-way between The Shield for both titles, or a singles excluding Rollins. Anyways, this match is going to be awesome, and The Wyatt’s win.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship Elimination Chamber Match: Randy Orton vs. Cena vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Sheamus vs. Christian vs. Cesaro
Easily one of the best match concepts ever, the Elimination Chamber should be a lot of fun this year as well, the reason this year is going to be great is, of course, that it’s packed with their best wrestling talent. We’ve had years where guys like Santino were in there, but not this year. We get the two best wrestlers in WWE right now, Cesaro and Bryan, we get Orton and Cena, who are 5-stars when they get to work with the best, we get a ring general in Christian, who has great matches with everyone and we get Sheamus, who is a great hoss and works particularly well with both Christian and Bryan and no doubt will have similar chemistry with Cesaro. My wish list for this match includes Cesaro Giant Swinging every participant in this match one after the other. In the end, there must be shenanigans to set up some WrestleMania stuff, so I expect Hunter out there to mess with Bryan and the Wyatt Family to mess with Cena. Not sure what the direction for Sheamus is, but I think with Cesaro’s recent up rise, he would be a good WrestleMania opponent for him. When all is said and done, Orton retains the championship and goes to WrestleMania to face Batista. We’ll see how they will insert Bryan into that match, or if they’ll go with HHH vs Bryan (doubtful, at this point, but if Punk really doesn’t return, what other choice do they have for Triple H?)

All in all the undercard for this PPV isn’t all that impressive, but those final two matches sure are looking amazing and are going to be fucking awesome, can’t wait and I’m actually considering sleeping during the day and staying up to watch the PPV and go straight to work from there, last time I did that was for SummerSlam, so that’s saying something about how hyped I am for those final two matches.

I'm in, just for the Shield vs Wyatt 6-man tag, which should be all kinds of awesome - plus the Elimination Chamber matches themselves are usually pretty fun.

I wish when I buy the PPV I could specify that; "I'm buying for the Shield/Wyatts, more shit like this in the future please".

I know they want to get Reigns & Bray Wyatt over as quickly as possible but it'd be great if the feud carried on till Mania.

Would love to see the Usos win the tag belts, but lord knows HHH has to keep his has-been buddies in the spotlight rather than put new talent At the top.

Shield/Wyatts should be damned good. I am actually thinking this will end with a sheild face turn somehow.

Heavyweight mainevent..... who fucking cares? Same with the Del Rio/Roidtista match. The only good thing about them will be prepping the WWE sound guys to drown out the crowd when the inevitable "this shit sucks" chants begin at Wrestlemania.

I agree with your predictions 100% Should be another by-the-books PPV.

Lol, Just because you mentioned this, I lowered it to 144p.

In all seriousness I'll be interested to see how long Brotista/ADR actually is. Big Dave's had very little match time so far and if he can't manage more than 10 minutes it really doesn't bode well for Mania. I mean if we thought Rock looked gassed last year...

I'll be there live! Pretty excited for the chamber match and very excited for Wyatt's/Shield. Also seeing my first ever favorite
Brock Lesnar, Kane confirmed he'd be there.

Good point, but if they turn it into a three way with Bryan that will allow him to catch his breath without it being as noticeable as with Rock.

I genuinely think that's what they'll do now. Partly so the crowd don't shit on the whole card but also because Bryan & Orton can carry the match until Batista can haul his carcass onto Randy for the 3 then turn heel the next day.

Is this PPV even big enough for a OT :lol.

Can't even imagine what the buy rate will be on the last PPV before the Network starts. Really drives home how much of a ripoff traditional PPVs are.

I still think Orton is dropping the title at EC. Even Vince knows Orton vs Batista is fuckkkkkked as a WM main event.

The final PPV ever! I think they actually did an awesome job building up the 2 main events- Wyatt's and Shield is hype as fuck, and Elimination Chamber has a ton of stories going on. I'd be shocked by anything other than Ambrose getting pinned and Orton retaining, but should be super fun

I'll be there, can't wait! Got some pretty good seats, about the same as I had last time Smackdown was in town and I think it'll be a good level for viewing into the Chamber.

Pass, Orton put over everyone over the past month so he will retain. I'll see if I can be around at the very end to check whether they bait and switch but I doubt it.

How important are overseas buyrates for WWE? I could see those fall off a cliff with the launch of WWE network. Even if it's not available in other countries, who's really going to shell out money if people in the US can get the network for less?

Breakdown of WWE PPV buyrates for 2013 so far

Sunday, 10 November 2013 12:41
by Adam Martin

Accounting for the last nine WWE PPV events in 2013 (January-September), buyrates are currently sitting at 3,037,000 million worldwide and 1,880,000 million domestic.

Official breakdowns of all the 2013 PPV events is as follows.

Royal Rumble (1/27): 579,000 worldwide (364,000 domestic)
Elimination Chamber (2/17): 241,000 worldwide (181,000 domestic)
Wrestlemania 29 (4/1): 1,104,000 worldwide (662,000 domestic)
Extreme Rules (5/19): 245,000 worldwide (137,000 domestic)
Payback (6/16): 198,000 worldwide (108,000 domestic)
Money in the Bank (7/14): 199,000 worldwide (151,000 domestic)
Summerslam (8/18): 296,000 worldwide (185,000 domestic)
Night of Champions (9/15): 175,000 worldwide (92,000 domestic)

Buyrates at this time last year were sitting at 3,344,000 worldwide and 2,067,000 domestic. Although the company did see a decline so far, it should be noted that WWE didn't run two PPV events in May like they did in 2012.

www.wrestleview.com/wwe-news/44869-breakdown-of-wwe-ppv-buyrates-for-2013-so-far

Wrestlemania tends to be about 25% of the domestic buyrate year to year I believe, but it looks to be more in the 33-50% range for overseas.

Interesting. Thanks for answering my question in detail. Well, good luck to WWE getting people to spend money on PPVs. They'll either jump through hoops to watch WWE Network or they'll give up and use a stream.
PPV's are cheaper outside of the US. In fact, I can order it through WWE for 15 Euro.

The shield storyline wise has been on a shaky ground from the beginning for me. They were supposedly first fighting for justice, which went nowhere. Then they became Heyman's paid lackeys, which also went nowhere. Most recently they became hitters for authority, which from the look of things once again is going nowhere as they are back to being booked as a rogue group these days. What has kept them afloat is their presentation as a solid group and their ability to put on good matches.

Like everyone else, the shield vs. the wyatts is the match I am looking forward to most. Should be fun.

Definitely a 2 match card, but that may be enough if they both deliver and add interesting elements to the WM build. I expect Brock fuckery in either/both the Batista
after David destroys Dos Caras jr
and the Chamber match.

Why isn't the unified title one belt?

They're either waiting for Batista to debut it (sigh...)

Or they're having 2nd thoughts about this unification business. They've really backed themselves into a corner over it because they've made every other belt worthless and they have to give the Championship to Batista even though they probably don't want to now. Splitting it back up would give them a lot of leeway.

Vince and HHH keep on fighting over what direction to take the shield. Vince has wanted to break them up since about 2-3 months after they debuted, and (like he does with everything else in WWE) hits the reset button on any long term storyline before it can play out.

I hope Punk comes back and interferes in the Chamber match allowing Bryan a win or to look good. This allows them to add Bryan to Orton/Batista and sets up HHH/Punk for WM.

Looking forward to the Titus vs. Darren match. Wish they had saved the match for WM though, or hopefully use this to set it up for WM!

My prediction

Sheamus eliminates Christian
Cesaro eliminates Sheamus
Orton eliminates Cesaro
Down to Orton, Cena and Bryan. Bryan is distracted by Kane, Orton eliminates Bryan
Orton eliminates Cena

I love that about The Shield though. They've shown that they can be bought, that's all. Their use of the word "justice" is no different than Bray Wyatt's use of the word "truth." Justice is whatever their agenda is, plain and simple. It works
