What a horrible turn of events for him.Car accident 2+ years ago. Was known at the time it'd be a long recovery due to it being a leg injury, seems like he may just not have been able to get back to the way he was before.

JTG started out as a member of a tag team, Cryme Tyme, but then his partner got into some trouble and got canned. This was year one of his employment.
Years 2-8 he was on TV maybe a total of five times but was still employed full time, and nobody knew why.
He's remained employed by the company for years with only sporadic appearances.

It was a dumb gimmick that had a very low ceiling.
He was employed by the WWE for 8 years, and only did anything in his first year. No one knows why he was employed all that time, he almost never appeared except in a couple of dark matches a year.

I saw one of that guy's promos; if you're hyping your gimmick and it sounds like you're insulting yourself, you're not going anywhere.
Drew McIntyre was over when he let his wife beat him up and it made the news. Vince is old school in some ways and a guy getting beat up by a woman sadly means no chance. And they were pushing the hell out of him.
Brodus Clay was fucked when they gave Mark Henry his gimmick.
Yoshi Tatsu beat up Triple H's friend. And they probably held onto him to lessen the chance of him blowing up in Japan. Dude is one of the best wrestlers on the roster.
Evan Bourne was done in by injuries. Having Rollins and guys like Zayne pretty much killed any chance he had of getting backing backstage.

Despite the mourning for JTG, I'm more upset about Hawkins getting let go despite clearly having an ally in Dwayne.
