Looks ok to me, and ingame :)

It just gives a strong impression of been half a gen ahead... what you'd get from PC stuff if you bumped up resolution, poly count and texture resolution. Also a good dash of bump mapping...

but otherwise it just look quite there yet... although we've been shown games and demos of stuff that really do look next gen.

Maybe it's just the complete pervasiveness of WW2 games this gen and that, that kinda game can only get so good due to the art direction been limited by what it was based on...

but then go watch a movie like Saving Private Ryan, or Band of Brothers even and you'll see a better representation of good 'art' direction in war media... so... yeah.

Not really next-gen, at least IMO. More like some good PC. To me it looks fake - but the explosions already owned me.

It looks like an Xbox game with "super dooper" textures. That said it looks great. I think next gen, it wont be the graphics that play the major part.

Looks colourful :) . Unlike 95% of war games which have a colour palette ranging from washed out gray to washed out green.

Too bad the actual game looks meh.

Looks pretty cool, though obviously not quite for the eye-candy crowd...yet. The gameplay sounds awesome and, with Relic behind it, it's hard to see how this game will be anything less than great. Aside from Impossible Creatures, Relic's put out the best real time strategy/logistics stuff for the last four years or so...counting Homeworld+Cataclysm, Homeworld 2, and Dawn of War. Hell, even though I didn't care for IC, it was nicely innovative. DoW's expansion looks great and their new title, Company of Heroes, looks amazing and should be DoW's basics on steroids plus its own thing. Go Relic!

Wow, you must not be aware of all of the other X360 titles that are talked about all over the web and in this very forum then. There are two WWII titles announced so far, AFAIK. There are plenty of shooting-types, but if you bothered to read up on what they all offer, you'd see that many of them are designed with different aims in the gameplay. Of course, it's a waste of time and keystrokes explaining this to you since you probably already know this by now.

Outside kameo, the xb360 is exactly what the xbox is just prettier.

racing
ww2
fps
death and destruction.

oh and they added a money milking marketplace.

WOOT!

Obviously, you're not a fan of what you see shown so far on the system. That was clear well before this thread. So what's the point of your being in this thread that makes your comments so special? If you think that's all the system has to offer, you're pushing your blind trolling into new heights of selective stupidity. You really do sound like a broken record, spouting off the same shit all of the time, yet ignoring other facts that make your comments blatantly stupid. Lack of Revolution got you down?

it's true, i don't think i ever became interested in a wargame other than enemy territory. there has been a flood of those games over the past two years (and still going strong)

Looks decent. But Ghost Recon 3 actually looks next-gen, and is coming out at the same time, so why get this?

Gameplay? Obviously it is too early to tell which is better but Relic rarely misses the mark plus the physics and RTS elements sound interesting.

it seems to me not all development teams are skilled enough to create graphics that represent the next generation.

Think about what you just said. Long and hard. There's a reason they're getting old.
But does every thread about a war game have to have the same posts over and over again? If you dont care about war games, fine, but I guess there are people who do. And if people dont buy these games, I'm sure publishers will eventually stop producing them. Just like they did with shitty 2d platformers.

Regardless, we don't need every fucking 3rd party developer doing a WW1 or 2 shooter. I don't care how much you like the sub genre, enough is enough.

Wtf? You're defending your trolling? :lol

Looks great! Looks like it could be fun and i'm loving how effects look next gen. I remember how great the smoke looks in that temple level in Sonic Adventure and was just shocked at how good it looked, then the water in Wave Race and Bloodwake....man next gen every effect is going to be just about real!

DCX

You guys know current-gen PC games have some nice engines, right? I expect more than this on 360. Better lighting and more geometry. PC games ain't gonna cut it. :( PEACE.
