XBCD drivers for XBOX 360 Controller for Windows available!

Uh

I installed this exactly like the site said to, and exactly like the video showed.

My Live button is blinking and won't stop, and the controller doesn't seem to function properly.

I just uninstalled whatever it was that came with the XBCD stuff.

When I'd move my left analog stick, regular buttons were lighting up in their setup utility, and if I moved the right stick, the left stick would say it was moving left and right if the right stick moved up and down.

Nah, thanks.

What sort of problems are people having with the 360 controller on the PC? I use it for MAME, and a couple other emulators, and it's been perfect.

I'm just curious about what some of the major problems are.

White Man, can you get the 360 controller to work for MAME games that require trackball?

I can't get my Atari Football or my Centipede to work at all.

No, I haven't managed that. I tried playing some trackball games, and it was just unworkable. It doesn't botehr me since outside of Tempest, I largely don't care about them.

I just set up Fable the Lost Chapters with the Pinnacle Game Profiler, and it works great. Not sure if I can justify paying for the producat just for one game. Lionhead is an idiot for not supporting controllers in the first place.

I can't get this to work for shit. I see it, Windows (XP Pro, SP2 legit) sees it. Tells me there's a problem w/ the device blah blah.

Any ideas? I thought I'd be playing Einhander on my laptop by now... Not that I had the time earlier, but I do now.

Help...

Are you using a wired controller (not a charge cable)?

I sure wish that wireless dongle would come out.

This is the wired one. I have no idea what the deal is. I'll try on another computer and see what the deal is.

P&C is power only. There are no wires in the cable for input. I hope a 3rd party makes a proper P&C adapter. As is, you have to remember to plug in your controller before shutting down the 360. Plugging in the adapter after power down does nothing to the controller which is stupid. You'd have to turn the 360 back on, plug it in, and then power down again to enure that your controller is charged the next time you play. Retarded.

Most of the (GAF) world had no 360 3 months ago. Shit, most of the (GAF) world doesn't have one now!

Thanks for the info, I didn't know that (I should pay more attention to those Major Nelson podcasts that I'm listening to while busy at work). This just screams 3rd party cable?! Nyko? MadCatz? where my 2 for one cable like I have for my PSP!! :lol

If the P&C kit is power only, why is it recognized as a device on the PC?... I have plugged in one of those small USB lamps on my PC before, and those weren't recognized as devices, IIRC...

did you install the Xbox XBCD, then the Microsoft Xbox360 Controller drivers, and then the Xbox360 XBCD, then go to the device manager and manually switch the drivers like the readme says?

why? dunno, but the instruction manual is pretty clear on the cable only providing power...

Glad someone brought this back from the grave...I tried installing this two months ago, and it didn't do a goddamn thing
