XBL: Games with Gold

Fuck yeah! This is fantastic!

Love ACIV and already got Freedom Cry for free.

Sold my GOW3, too, so I'm pumped to revisit my favorite Gears game.

OMG I never played Gears of War 3, so with the BC on Xbox One... that will mean it'll be free for me to play now too?!
 
This may have already been discussed, but I figure they'll use the backwards compatible 360 games as eventual FREE games on the X1.

The 360 free games probably won't last forever (as in still doing it 2-3 years from now), so they'll move over to giving something like 1 free X1 game (old or Indie) and one/two free backwards compatible 360 games from the past.

Edit** Just saw the "2 Free X1 games".

Ok, so maybe a couple X1 games and a BC 360 game down the road. I think they could do some cool "free packages" with all the games at hand/possible.
 
Pretty good month.
I've already got 3 of them but So Many Me looks like the kind of puzzle platformers I like.

2 new X1 games every month now, that's nice!

Black Flag is okay. was hoping for Pool Nation FX though.

but seriously, grab Gears just in case it's ever added as a bc game.
 
they seem to be pretty friendly with Ubi and GwG. First Rayman and now Black Flag, I am happy, but keep it up, no pool fx crap again please.

Yeah, you'll be able to play it when it gets BC support. Even better, the 360 GwG program means that it's yours forever even if you later unsubscribe to gold.
 
Interesting that they're staggering the dates of Black Flag and So Many Me. Means twice the logins to claim free games, but it also means we'll get a fresh game X1 every two weeks without the short shelf life that the 360 GWG have.
 
Surprisingly good month. Weird overlap on that second Xbox One game though.

Now, as someone who hates Assassin's Creed 1 and 2, the latter of which is considered to be the best, I've heard that Black Flag is probably the most different of the games. Is this true? Because I might give it a chance if it's nothing like the first games.

I despise AC and AC2 was no different, that game was repetitive and bored the hell out of me to the point where I didn't even finish it. Black Flag I enjoyed and did finish, I think it was the pirate segments of the game that did it for me and made it a tad bit less repetitive.

So basically the same as me then? If BF was good enough for you to play and it's going free then I guess I should just try it.

Yep, though I did only play AC2 when it was made free with gold a few years back, so it could have just aged poorly but I couldn't get through it at all. Though I did try Unity after Black Flag and I quit within about 30 mins, I'll probably go back to it later but idk it's just too.. Assassins creed-y for me.

Black Flag was decent though, for free I'd say it's worth a shot.
