And it's still there. It must be true, as this is the second time they have listed their support. Watch it disappear in five minutes

ok.. now i'm begining to wonder

There are no words to describe how much I hate these "cool lifestyle pictures of urban people". If I ever came across a marketing manager who insisted their use, I think I would have to look into using severe physical violence.

Squenix publish stuff in Japan made by others not just themselves.

Like Namco or whoever publishng Wipeout Fusion rather than Sony.

It does not imply they will make games or not make games just that they are a publisher

I wonder if SE for the first time will support three consoles.

I'm begining to think that,
With game costs rising, I expect them to start making multiplatform titles.

is that the real 360 logo? They didn't even fucking attempt to give it any kind of style.

Oh well... simplicity. It might just work. Maybe that's what Rare is thinkin' with PD0, right?

The game covers remind me of the Xbox value line.

Edit: Didn't mean to just come in, say something negative, and then split. :P I would love to see Square/Enix on the Xbox 360. The wierdness surrounding could easily Square/Enix's want to play an active role in the announment rather than it just being a press release.

Development costs have risen every generation, and they haven't made any multiplatform games yet. Unless there's some sort of feud or Sony loses a ton of marketshare, I doubt SE will seriously consider porting a major title.

Yeah, but they don't typically publish stuff that other publishers have published.

What?
Wipeout Fusion isn't out in Japan, and presumably won't ever come out here. Namco has never published anything that Sony published elsewhere - you might be thinking of Capcom.

Haha

Peter Moore: We have nothing new planned from Square Enix, and I don't think there will be anything revealed at E3. But it would surprise me if anyone avoid to develop games for Xbox 360 this generation

Nice find. Guess it really was there.

E3 should be fucking crazy with shots fired all around.

Metroid Prime 2 was listed as an exclusive title for XBOX on www.xbox.com?

I can understand retailer/distro sites screwing up, but not so much a console manufacturer who has never had SE as a publisher on-board their systems. Outside of the message boards, why would Square-Enix's name even be anywhere on the official XBOX site? Seems to me that it's just matter of time now.

Just like Metroid Prime 2 was removed from the "Official xbox.com release list" last year.

False hope for those who see...take it down before they get sued.

Anyways...I had to work tonight so I didn't see the MTV thing and I wasn't here. PD Zero (going by the pre-show art) seemed to be the game I wanted to mostly see...::looks around trying to keep a straight face::...HA HA HA! Anyways, this is what I'm not getting so far:
-the system is like as big as the first xbox and stands on it's side like a PC...can it be layed flat?
-HD is removable and slides into the indent on the top??? Is the HD the suppossed MC-iPod-VMU thing rumored, or just a plain HD?
-controllers are wireless...but...I heard there's no WiFi...so does that mean no built-in wireless internet???
-what's the deal with BC with the first xbox???
-is there a built-in camera?

You know, there are, like, over thirty sites you could go to get information that would set you straight. As for Metroid Prime 2 showing up on the official XBOX site, are you sure? Sounds insane, but who would've believed that anyway as Nintendo owns the title? If people fell for that, they are fucking clueless. Believing that SE could be a publisher/developer of X360 titles is a fair conclusion to be drawn from seeing their name on official lists, though. Nothing unbelieveable about that at all.

lol ......... :lol
great .... another generation of xbox with some phantom support from square enix.

I am sure these sightings of square enix will popup in fanboy wars in years to come.

I bet the webmaster reads GAF and did that bait and switch JUST to see threads like this created and get a good laugh out of it. :lol

I like the X360 bar on the covers a lot. Very sleek.

Hopefully the DVD cases are white or silver rather than fluorescent green.

Metroid Prime 2 was on the Xbox site last year -- it was hilarious. I'll see if I can't find the thread...

Cant wait for MS conference later next week. I expect a major announcement regarding SE :D

And the Xbox360 is fucking sexy. Love it

Metroid Prime 2 was NOT on the xbox.com site last year, it was on one of the msn network sites and it was a video listed for hot upcoming games.

here's another reference I found, dont know if it was posted anywhere. its still there as of now.

Moore is responsible for establishing industry-shaking alliances, including alliances with industry giant Square Enix and legendary developers Hironobu Sakaguchi (Mistwalker), Yoshiki Okamoto (Game Republic) and Tetsuya Mizuguchi (Q Entertainment), and bringing publishing powerhouse Electronic Arts Inc. onto the Xbox Live™ global video games online service.
