I've heard a few rumblings about a big game series from SE not being Sony exclusive anymore (going multiplatform), but that's it. It's a bit more reliable than a simple rumour, but it's certainly not a "fact" yet.reriel said:blimblim, have you hearing nothing on square enix supporting xbox 360 ? or on anothers japanese 2nd parties ?

No no no, it definitely means Xenon. By multiplatform I was meaning PS3 and Xenon. I wanted to say that Sony would not lose the series. Of course it could also go to the revolution too, but I guess MS will already pay (one way or another) a lot for getting the series, if it happens, and certainly won't see Nintendo getting a free pass to the party happily.gofreak said:That may not mean Xenon, though. Revolution is a more probable candidate for any multiplatform SE stuff, I'd think, though who knows, maybe they'll go crazy and put such a game on all 3. I would just hope they tweak toward each consoles' strengths, though.

Mrbob said:Ok what are the big games from Square Enix? I want to try and figure this out!
Final Fantasy
Kingdom Hearts
Dragon Quest
Chrono series (Is this big?)
I don't know all of Enix games am I missing something?

They are not a part of MGS, Mistwalker is an independant company. MGS does all the "dirty" work for the games, and Mistwalker provides the art, music, story, game design. That way they get all the funding they want for the games, but after they are done with the 2 RPGs they don't have to work with MS anymore if they do not want to.Blackace said:They are a part of the Microsoft Games department, no? good news for them if so! thet'll have buckets of cash to spend on making games
It's not a MMORPG, but there should be a live coop mode.bogg said:Hey blim, is there anything you can say about shadowrun? I hope it's not a MMORPG.
If shadowrun turns out great, I might have to buy this xbox 360....
I doubt sony will let Final Fantasy (the main games) or dragon quest go multi-platform. They know how important those games are.
Jade Empire is a 2nd party game.lockii said:I'm a little late to this thread but since when was Bioware and Epic 1st/2nd parties?

Gears of Wars will be a 2nd party game.
Sorry I know next to nothing about Japan except the 1st/2nd party games from MGS.jarrod said:...to spruce things up and keep it from being a repeat performance. Hopefully some of those groups are already "on board". Any hints Blim?![]()
Awesome. I better start saving up.Blimblim said:It's not a MMORPG, but there should be a live coop mode.
Well, the thing that could worry you a bit is that UT2006 is being developed by the Unreal Championship 2 team, and not the main Epic team who's working exclusively on Gears of Wars. I don't know if this will change anything or not in how UT 2006 will be compared to the current one.lockii said:Thanks, had me worried at the prospect of no further UT on the PC :lol
It's not a launch title btw, it's a 2006 game.bogg said:Awesome. I better start saving up.
Next gen will be the first time I'll be able to afford all consoles (i fuckin hope so).
e3 is going to be great:rock
Don't know. I'd say it will be a time exclusive, but it's just my opinion.Borys said:Hey Blimx2, is Gears of War exclusive for the Box2? And I mean exclusive as Halo 2 not Halo 1?
Gah! Where's massiveattack then? :/Blimblim said:Sorry I know next to nothing about Japan except the 1st/2nd party games from MGS.
That's cool. The only console i'm considering getting at launch is the revolution if Nintendo actually delivers (im a nintendo whore), other than that, im waiting for the price drop\lots of kick ass games.Blimblim said:It's not a launch title btw, it's a 2006 game.

I only heard about the Sakaguchi, Mizuguchi and Okamoto games. Plus one more as a 2nd party title. There could be more, I don't know.jarrod said:Gah! Where's massiveattack then? :/
Do you know if Artoon's Xenon ARPG is a 2nd party title? Or if TFLO is really Xenon bound as rumored?

Good to know, thanks.Brimstone said:I notice Sphere Frame isn't on your list. They're made up from the cream of the crop Anchor developers that left Anchor and started their own studio. What is up with Sphere Frame, afterall they're among the best developers in the world when it comes to fighting action like in the UFC and wrestling games.
the next UT is coming to PC. The UC2 team is the primary team working on it though. They are VERY talented. So don't worry about Epic not doing a PC version.lockii said::| I will hunt and kill Mark Rein, if that turns out to be case. Nothing against Xbox360, I just want UT on my PC.
