Xbox 360 Faceplates

What's the general GAF interest level for the 360 faceplates? At $20 they're a bit steep to buy more than one or two, but are the faceplates something that get you excited at all? Most of them look too busy and clashy with the design of the rest of the system, but a nice clean white one with an simple design would be cool.

I wish these would be used more for stuff like preorder bonuses than as general accessories; especially since they can't cost more than $1 to manufacture in China.

No interest. The standard console looks neutral enough and will blend in fine with all my other electronics. The faceplates are pretty pointless.

i like the e3 one... but even that i wouldnt pay 20 bucks for.

really, the plain white front looks fine. cant imagine i'd ever change it

depends on what they look like - seriously, what's 20 bucks for a console that you'll have for 5 years +

Not interested in them at all. For the price of a faceplate I'm getting my scart cable...now which is a better use of my ÂŁ15: a piece of plastic or a cable that gives a massive improvement over composite? Hmm. Tough choice :lol

$9.99 is about right for a faceplate, $20? pfft

I can't believe they sold all the other bundles out...that's crazy.

Well.. it's not like they're waiting in a warehouse all bundled up like that until November 22. GameStop is getting X number of consoles. They've reached X number of preorders, so they've stopped taking reservations. However, if you feel like paying $2000 for yours, they'll be more than happy to send one to you and short some store by one. They haven't necessarily sold a single "Gold" or "Ultimate" bundle.

is there a pic of the pgr3 one?

I'll only get a faceplate if
1. it's a Limited Edition faceplate of specific games, that prob comes with a pre-order or LE bundles or something
2. I can customize my own faceplate

Not that I know of. I saw it on G4. Geoff Keighly made a point of showing it off cause it looked so cool.

It might be exclusive to Europe since it was shown at X05 only.

I heard the E3 faceplate doesn't fit on the X360.

I'd pay $20 for one that looks decent and is somewhat rare. I'd consider importing the exclusive ones for Europe or Japan. None of the NA ones interest me.

I like the E3 faceplate too....

I really hope we can also buy that one......they said it was limited to E3 only....I really like the design...

The only one I like is the E3 one (but without the "E305" on it). The rest are terrible. Its a shame they won't be selling that one or one like it because that's probably the only one I would ever even think about buying.

"im gonna make it mine"

but seriously, i wouldnt mind the carbon fiber or the aluminum one
Be sure to add some vtec stickers as well. It'll make it run twice as fast, dropping quarter mi.. err loading time.

I would get a black and green themed faceplate.
yeah, so far I like the old xbox design more than the new one.

You'd have to be retarded(or m0rphix) to pay 20 bucks for a friggin' faceplate. One dollah sounds about right.

I'd like to have one, but I dont think I've liked too many I've seen. Making my own custom one would be great, but I dont want my console to have some lame-ass design I screwed up.

Its quite amazing to know people actually bought those. Sad, but amazing.
Unlike faceplates, the stands were necessary to actually be able to use your Ps2.

I still remember stories of Ps2s that wouldn't work unless they were vertical. In some cases, even upside down. :lol

you can still stand the PS2 up without the stand. As long as you dont have dogs running all over and knocking it down it should be fine. Hell you could stack two books at an angle on each side and that would keep it steady. That Stand was worthless
