First tragedy, then farce.
So, we havent had one of these in a bit, and rumors are swirling about a new patch coming soon. So, what needs to be fixed?Feel free to add your own.

- Downloads in the background. I want to start a download of a patch while I play another game, listen to music, etc. Its annoying how everything else can be done in the background but downloads. Not annoying for smaller DL's, but XBLA games, movie trailers and game demos can take a while. * Rumored to be happening.

- Fix lockup bug when going to 360 dashboard. Some people and games have had issues of the guide button locking up games. * Rumored to be happening.

- The ability to group friends. For instance, a friends list, a family list a GAF list, etc. That way I can keep up with who someone is, and/or what game I play with them.

- Fix it so that XBLA game demos dont show up under "my games". It could mislead someone into thinking you have a game and them trying to play it with you.

- Add a patch so you can remove a game from "your games" without removing the achievment points. Say I play PD:Z to death and get tired of it. I dont want to keep the game but I might not want to lose my achievments... right now someone would still think I have the game if they look at "my games" and may invite me to play a game I dont own.

- shuffle mode on the media player. Maybe this is hidden somewhere, but its annoying when I select a band or album and hit "play all" only to get the songs in the same order every time.

- A built in screenshot taker.. I know some games have them, but just something that grabs the framebuffer and allows me to send it to my PC or to share with my friends. Small video clips would rock as well, but would be harder to implement unless the games had the function built in.

- Chat rooms. Larger Chat rooms would be nice so that you can get a group chat going with 4-5 people outside of a game.

- Patch Xbox Live so that it can recognize when you are in a game with someone and prevent you from having a private chat with anyone in the same online game as you. Its not too bad for action oriented games, but Spades has been ruined by teamates setting up private chat so they can table talk behind your back.

Blatently not ready ;)

They need to sort out the market place interface so its easier to cycle through. And maybe allow the guide button to appear faster. Thats the only complaints so far

Oh, and the ability to hold private chats with a group of friends

- Fix the ridiculous router glitches in games. I cannot join PDZ games with more than 4 players if I go through my router.

- Make the Xbox Guide appear faster and smoother when you're in a game. IT'S TOO SLOW and feels extremely laggy. Fix it!

- Chat rooms! When you give us something, you don't take it back for no good reason!

- Fix the 1080i stretching overscan! Things are often going out of screen!

- shuffle mode on the media player. Maybe this is hidden somewhere, but its annoying when I select a band or album and hit "play all" only to get the songs in the same order every time.

I agree that it should say "shuffle" or something like that, but when I hit play it it does so randomly. I'm not sure why yours isn't......

The arrow pointing up, I believe, randomizes your music.

Damn right. I even tried deleting a demo just to see if it'd get off my list, but nope its still there. They've got to fix this, it makes my game list look ugly, dammit!

Also very true. Private Chat is a great idea, but this problem should've been obvious and dealt with when they came up with it.

There are actually 2 arrows on the button. One up, one down. If it's highlighted (which is hard to see actually) then your music is randomized.

well, Im glad to know there is a randomize.. but they should have two seperate buttons. 1 to play, one to shuffle.

They do. The arrow pointing right does play. The one pointing up does randomize. I just hit play, then hit the arrow pointing up, and then skip to the next song which is random.

It would be faster to chat with Skype or other VOIP at the same time. Or Instant Messenging! Tons of players have wi-fi notbooks and other computers available. To do it using Live should be very obvious as it takes a while to switch channels and your opponents are likely to notice that you are silent/unresponsive a lot.

These games are meant for casual play among true friends. If you want to compete in real card games, go join a tourney at your VFW hall.

Yeah that's a good point too, if they were friends they could even just call each other up. I figure if people want to cheat they'll find a way.

- Add the capability to share data collected between games, like those gorgeous POINTLESS PGR3 photos and videos.

- Along with the previous suggestion, add the capability to send such data, at least the photos (as I can understand the videos being complicated due to them being rendered in-engine at the time of viewing,) to an external storage device (e.g. e-mail, networked PC, USB memory stick, etc.)

This has nothing to do with MS and everything to do with your equipment. I play through a router on a toshiba 30" hdtv in 1080i and have experienced neither of these issues in extensive play.

There is something to be said about the 1080i stretching though. My CRT has the same issue and I expierienced the same problem with Halo 2 before they released a patch for it. I need to set my HTPC to 1776x1000i in order to see the whole screen. In any case, the stretching on the 360 is minor ATM and hasn't affected my gameplay yet.

again that is overscan.. and frankly that isn't too bad considering that is only 4.25% overscan (recommended is 5%, most techs will bring it in to 4%).

overscan is necessary on CRT because frankly, the edge of the tube is pretty damn ugly/distorted.

Your TV needs to be calibrated in the service menu by either yourself or a ISF professional.

A couple quick settings changes and I corrected that problem for good.

Since this thread seems to be including dashboard features, too,

PLEASE, PLEASE give us an option in the mp3 player for the structure to go from

Genre --> Artists --> Albums
instead of what it does now, which is
Genre --> Songs

For those of us with large mp3 collections, it is very difficult to navigate to the artist and album we want. Right now I have to go to Artist, then scroll through my list of 5000-some artists to find the one I want, 20 at a time. Obviously, artists after the letter D or so don't get played very often. Being able to break it down from Genre to Artist would make it a whole lot easier.

Also, a "volume standardizer" or whatever ya wanna call it would be a welcome feature. A track from one album is loud. Next one is soft. Next one is loud. Etc. I'm constantly reaching for the remote.
