i have some suggestions for Candlestick park (FUCK YOU MONSTER PARK!)
1. in years past, there didn't seem to be much depth past the endzones. it was very dead and flat. i don't know if you can control this or not, but take a look at this real life photo which shows an excellent example of how it SHOULD look from this angle:
i think this is (overall) a problem with most of the stadiums in the game. i dont really get the feeling that i'm playing in a big stadium. when i go see the 49ers in person, the stadium is this huge larger than life field that just looks incredible. when i play it in the game i dont get that dramatic feeling.
2. fix the grass. i don't know if it can be done on the current generation machines or not, but grass in san francisco isn't the same as grass in carolina or wherever. all the stadiums have a different "feel" to them grass-wise. it's a small complaint but it still kind of bugs me
3. one last thing, i dont like how the shadows are cast over the stadium in the game. howcome dog shit stadiums like texas stadium in dallas get the nice shadow treatment, but not in san fran? i'll see if i can dig up some other photos but check this one out:
see that nice shadow on about 1/3rd of the field? that should be in the game. now i dont know if you deal with the lighting and what not, but its a problem
i will end by saying if there is one area in graphics (besides still screen shots) that i felt the NFL 2kx series had on madden it is the stadiums. like i said in the first post, you want the stadiums to feel huge and be full of life and be unique. i think the 2kx series did this pretty well. and while madden 05 and years past have been technically very accurate on the 49ers stadium, i feel like just a few small improvements could go along way to making it feel better.
just my thoughts though!
