I really like it. Seems very organized and easy to manage.

Wario64 said:video messages. yeah i think im gonna have to be cautious opening random videos
Ghost said:Im starting to think you have to use the media extender for videos..which means having a media center PC
jedimike said:Yes, that has already been confirmed. You can use any flavor of XP for Photos and Music, but you need Media Center for all the other multimedia stuff.
Pedigree Chum said:Really? That fucking sucks if true. It was one of the features I was most hyped about. Being able to send vid to the Xbox for viewing, now I can't even stream cause I've only got an XP system. That blows![]()
GhaleonEB said:It's NOT true - you just need XP.
GhaleonEB said:When the search function is turned back on, search for XP and 360, I'm sure it will turn up. Read it in multiple articles linked in the carnage right after the PC.

Funky Papa said:Is it me or it looks way too much pc-ish? I mean, I don't care, but I expect something a little more stylized for a console, maybe some 3D tabs, glossy 3D buttons and all that.
Good user interface and all....but I'm a little tired of Microsoft hyping the dashboard/Xbox Live/Customize your xbox/Make t-Shirts/play checkers stuff......seriously, I just want good graphics and good games. They did this with the Xbox too...hyping the dashboard. Sure, a cool dashboard and other things help, and MS delivered with the Xbox, but I'm tired of hearing about irrelevent things.

The way I understand it is that the references to MCE and recorded video/TV refer to watching MCE-recorded video/TV. If you download a TV show (for shame!), you can stream that to the 360 off of a regular XP machine. What I haven't seen answered is how codecs/updates will work, although it seems that most of the (popular) codecs are fairly complete at this point.Ghost said:It actually says:
It doesnt actually say video from any XP machine (that i can find)
and on the entertainment page it says:
with no mention of standard XP options.
This is what worried me originally, coupled with the fact i havent seen "video" on any of the pictures of the media pages, i really hope you can use XP to stream video (it might work out that way, all this stuff is just semantics and mock-up GUIs) but i cant see anywhere microsoft have specifically stated that is the case.
That's actually J Allard. Look at his goofy pic. -_-djtiesto said:![]()
