Xbox 360 vs. Xbox 1: Weight and Size

Uhh, if that's the case, the power jack would have been "blown up" looking as well. Hoever you slice it, when comparing similar component (like USB), they should match up.
 
Am I the only one that see that the ps3 shot is a vector drawing and im almost positive the xbox 360 its too. Based on that idea they can be scaled to any size and the ports can just be resized to be the same its actually incredably easy to do in photoshop. Hell I dont beleive the xbox 360 dwarfs the ps3 that much especialy with the magazine picture. I'm just going to wait to see an actual comparison when all the consoles are done and line up together with the camera distanced right.














ps. The revolution is beautiful and tiny if nintendo can pull it of that size and pack a tech punch they are gods of design.

The problem is that the 360 ports appear to be sunken into the console, while the PS3 ports appear to be flush with the surface. That means the "back" of the 360 is "closer" to the camera, creating an illusion of increased size. There also appears to be curvature on the 360.

And comparing disc drives is a bit tricky (might not be all that accurate).
 
Can you imagine if at E3 during one of the conferences if Sony was running over to the MS booth with a PS3 to prove how much smaller it is and the MS reps grab the 360 on display and take off with the Sony people chasing after them.

Gameinformer has a size comparison. The 360 looks about as high as the PS2 and maybe a hair wider. The comparisons in this thread are nowhere close :lol

At any case the 360 port looks wider than the one of the PS3 which means the only real accurate measuring stick would be the measure the entire dimensions of the USB's instead of the just the height or width.

I know. Not sure about their relation to one another, but the first time I saw the PS3 I didn't think it was that much bigger than the PS2. Everyone else seemed to think otherwise though, and I don't really know why.

It certainly isn't the refrigerator. Revolution is the prettiest system but it has a lot to prove to me.

I'm not sure which one is supposed to be my baby, but I've seen these goofy comparison pics now for awhile now and I'm tired of people taking it seriously. I just refuse to believe that the GAF population is this stupid.

We have been discussing this image for the last page or so, and how many of us (such as myself) as skeptical that it is correct, because it seems way off. And hey, guess what, you confirmed it is (btw, you need to source your numbers...I know they're IGN, but still source it w/ a link. Also, why do they say "about"?). No need to flip out about it.

I mean it's only been a few days since E3, the pictures haven't circulated enough to become a real annoyance (like the PSP region-free shit, arghhhh!) :D

Don't tell me, you got those from IGN, right? Already been proven that the 360 dimensions are off. By a couple inches very well. So good morning, sunshine. It pays to read the thread completely.

EGM has the dimensions, and when I asked someone to measure their Game Informer, they said the dimensions along the spine were already bigger than that 10.25". GI is a bigger mag IIRC. If someone can double-check the dimensions on one, you'd see that the 360 dimensions are off on IGN's site. Which means the PS3 dimensions are problably off as well, especially since eyewitnesses at E3 have already said (in this thread) that the PS3 looks smaller than the 360. How much smaller is anyone's guess. It's only a matter of inches in any case, so it's not life or death. PEACE.

The same dimensions as EGM posted. I'm pretty sure they are official specs. IGN pulled numbers out of thin air (ie. their ass). Good to know it's pretty even with the PS2, and only a few inches deeper. And that height is with the HDD, so you could probably chop a half inch or more off that height, making it actually shorter than the PS2. And if the PS3 is about the same, that bodes well for the next-gen console sizes. :) PEACE.

EDIT: BTW, where'd you see the GI size comparison between the PS3 and 360? I can't find it on their site.
 
I personally think 360 and PS3 are going to very close in size.

Mind you. It's not like I'm going to be looking at mine when I'm playing all those nice hi-def games :)
