I mean they're different, but if it was just a higher budget No Man's Sky that wouldn't be a bad thing either. Why everyone so hyped about Starfield, looks like a AAA No Man's Sky?!

If Starfield is coming in June then the latest they would do a deep five is in March, we still have time.Imagine separate Starfield showcase with God Howard in style of Fallout 4 presentation that lasts 30 minutes
World is not prepared for him and his leather jacket.
But for real. It's great that Microsoft decided to separate Starfield from other games, because Starfield would probably suffocate all other games during presentation. It's also great that Microsoft is finally able to properly manage expectations and can be bothered to say "Starfield won't be there" before it. It will probably eliminate most of bitching that would be there if they didn't do it.
I'm looking forward to format of the show. No host is great news and I hope they keep it relatively quick and straight.
Question now is that if Starfield is really coming out in H1 2023. I expect it in June, but with game missing from this showcase I'm uncertain. But I guess, if they wanted to delay it they would wait for another showcase until E3 presentation...
Yes? I still don't get what's wrong with that. You like videogames except the 4 games being presented at this show.
I would say that big E3 showcase in June with 3 Developer_Direct showcases (january, march/april, september) with deep dives sounds like a great idea. And considering how many games XGS/Bethesda have in development, I would say that this format was sorely needed. If Starfield is coming in June then the latest they would do a deep five is in March, we still have time.
Didn't know Minecraft Legends is FPS...I wish I could get excited for an MS show. It's always the same type of games, FPS, Racing, and First-person games.
Didn't even realise that game exist.Didn't know Minecraft Legends is FPS...
Okay then.Didn't even realise that game exist.
I hope you aren't suggesting I'm a Sony fanboy because that would be hilarious.Okay then.
Maybe just say "they are not showing cinematic storydriven third-person game, so I'm not interested" and don't try to pretend that Xbox first party lacks variety
I'm not suggesting anything. Just reading between linesI hope you aren't suggesting I'm a Sony fanboy because that would be hilarious.
And yeah they lacking.
Really ..? MS are the only ones pushing things like Sea of Thieves, Pentiment, Grounded, As Dusk Falls, High on Life as headliners at their shows.I wish I could get excited for an MS show. It's always the same type of games, FPS, Racing, and First-person games.
Now that's not really true at all is it? There's way more similarities between NMS and Starfield, like space exploration on multitude of planets and resource gathering. If what you said would be true it would stop with "You use spaceships in both games".Those are dramatically different games.
It’s like saying AC Valhalla and GOW Ragnarok are similar because you run around with an axe in third person in both games.

1 of them is 3rd party Wasteland 3I'm not suggesting anything. Just reading between lines
And no, they are not lacking
From 2020
Ori and the Will of the Wisps - 2D metroidvania
Bleeding Edge - Multiplayer hero brawler
Minecraft Dungeons - Diablo-style ARPG
Microsoft Flight Simulator - Flight Simulator
Tell Me Why - Storydriven "Telltale-style" game
Wasteland 3 - CRPG
Battletoads - mainly 2D brawler
Gears Tactics - X-Com style strategy game
Psychonauts 2 - action platformer
Deathloop - roguelite FPS
GhostWire Tokyo - open world first person game
Age of Empires IV - RTS
Forza Horizon 5 - arcade racer
Halo Infinite - FPS
As Dusk Falls - Storydriven "Telltale-style" game
Grounded - survival game
Pentiment - 2D adventure
So, where exactly is XGS lacking variety? I mean. We can argue how many "A" each of these games have and also talk about their quality. But arguing about lack of variety is pretty hilarious.
January - Age of Empires II: DE Xbox PortI'm predicting Redfall in early May and Starfield in late June. Forza Motorsport and Hellblade II this fall.
>Whorzn4Seems like it could be. I found a link to the Reddit thread where the show’s date, games, and ‘No Starfield’, were posted Jan 5th, four days before Jez’s tweet. The poster then confidently said Starfield was Fall 2023. Seems to be from Maryland and knows a Bethesda employee. Klobrille also doubts first half 2023 now.
Jesus. Even if you want to be nitpicky and throw out all Bethesda stuff (which is bullshit because Deathloop and GhostWire were released after acquisition. That's also why I did not included Doom Eternal because that game was released before buyout), even then you sounds stupid when you claim lack of variety. Wasteland 3 was also released after acquisition, same as The Outer Worlds.1 of them is 3rd party Wasteland 3
3 of them were 3rd party games and only became 1st party after the studio / publisher were acquired (Deathloop and Ghostwire ...two 1st person games. Psychonaut 2, lets be honest wouldn't have existed if they were own by MS before the game development and crowdfunding started
Halo Finite another FPS
Forza Horizon series isn't really an arcade racer. Yes it's not a pure sim but it's not an arcade racer either.
1 is from a second party studio As Dusk Fall
4 FP games in there.
Id guess Starfield is for the holidays. Mid Q4, november-ishI'm predicting Redfall in early May and Starfield in late June. Forza Motorsport and Hellblade II this fall.
Sounds decent...January - Age of Empires II: DE Xbox Port
February - Minecraft Legends
March - GhostWire Tokyo
April - Forza Motorsport
May - Redfall
June - Starfield
Sounds great and entirely possible.
it says first half of 2023 on the official support page.Id guess Starfield is for the holidays. Mid Q4, november-ish
This has to be a troll lmaoWhy everyone so hyped about Starfield, looks like a AAA No Man's Sky?!
Dude, stop typing. You're giving me a headache.1 of them is 3rd party Wasteland 3

I honestly don't see Hellblade 2 as a heavy hitter. Unless it's so much bigger than the first one.Think it will be Hellblade 2 and then some smaller games. I think we see a one or two of the XGS published games, maybe just me hoping for Stoic's game.
I think it's as big as Avowed and Redfall at least for Microsoft. I am not sure about Starfield and Forza level.I honestly don't see Hellblade 2 as a heavy hitter. Unless it's so much bigger than the first one.

Better for someone, worse for someone else. You joke but that sounds like a much better show, throw in Forza and a Platformer and you're good to go
??Why everyone so hyped about Starfield, looks like a AAA No Man's Sky?!
Yes, the biggest game ever with the most sales ever. Surely there aren't any fans of minecraft.Ah yes, minecraft.
pleasebeexcited.gif
I don't see anything that peeks my interest, but I'm glad Xbox fans have a reason to be excited.
Didn't even realise that game exist.
So it's the same typical MS IPs even though they are sitting on a ton of other great IPs.
Weird how you’re a huge fan of Gran Turismo and racing games, but a showing of the first Forza Motorsport game in 5 years - the first next gen only racing game - is of no interest to you.
Ah. Right. Seen your post history.
I can't stand grinding...??
You make it sound like that’s a bad thing. 500+ hours played on NMS, and in Starfield you can do the usual awesome Bethesda roleplaying and exploring, plus build your own spaceship. It’s going to be awesome
The base building and ship building is most likely optional just like building a manor in Skyrim.I can't stand grinding...
Starfield was shown at that show in July '22, where they said all the following games will be released within the next 12 months. The Starfield support page has also gone live.Id guess Starfield is for the holidays. Mid Q4, november-ish
I love building shit and even buying able to have NPCs do tasks for your base???

I'm in for stealing tons of space dishes and space spoons so I can sell them.I love building shit and even buying able to have NPCs do tasks for your base?
Yeah I hope they do that, I know you have companions, the droid they’ve shown, and I assume(hope) there are some humanoids too …which modders will quickly turn into some space Lara CroftI love building shit and even buying able to have NPCs do tasks for your base?
Well maybe you're right. I love Bethesda RPGs, I bought the damn Series X for TES6 so.The base building and ship building is most likely optional just like building a manor in Skyrim.
The main thing is their RPG magic, now in space. If you like their other RPGs you should be excited for this too. If you don’t like their other games you can always try it cheap on Gamepass
Yeah can’t wait to play TES6! Will probably play it on PC though. I wish they would give us a hint on how far away it is.Well maybe you're right. I love Bethesda RPGs, I bought the damn Series X for TES6 so.
I would prefer PC as well (always have) but I play too little now to justify putting down that much money on a gaming PC, that's why I went with the Xbox instead. Yeah I'm awaiting the game as the second coming, it's killing me that there's so little info about it.Yeah can’t wait to play TES6! Will probably play it on PC though.
