Wat??? The idea they can just decide on how 'low' they can go based what their competitor has previously just shown is silly. Things like prices are usually not decided within such little timeframe. Unless they already considered multiple prices that seems far fetched to think they can adjust how low they can go.

Sorry, I was talking about Sony's flexibility to announce a price drop. Microsoft knows their price for sure by now, they don't have any flexibility at this point. I'm simply suggesting that knowing Microsoft's price for the scorpio in front of their conference is a valuable piece of information. They can either choose to respond with a price drop on Pro if Microsoft hits it out of the park, or they can stay put. Sony can't respond (on E3 stage at least) to scorpio price if Microsoft's conference is after theirs.

You seem to post how people kiss Phil's ass. I just assumed jealousy. Sorry if that's not the case.

I'm just speaking from personal experience of what I have read on social media. I don't think that sort of hive mind stuff does the brand any good and as a fan I don't like it but let's be real here the man is in a great job for a reason and he isn't dumb, good luck to him.

I hear you man.

What people are missing here is I did say I would be made up if they brought the megatons. Being a fan doesn't mean you have to like everything they do or hate on them all the time. I'm just passionate and when I don't think everything's great I'll say so. I've praised them plenty of times in the past.

I also hope they have a megaton or two to announce. It would help hype up the new machine. What can be considered a realistic megaton though?

Halo 6
Forza 7
Sea of Thieves
Crackdown 3
State of Decay 2
Phantom Dust HD (if it isn't out before E3)
Ori 2?

I think this along with one or two new games will be their lineup.

And that's the question that leads to my frustration because they certainly like to keep their own studios bringing out the same IP not to mention the games we know about we haven't seen much of which I suspect will take up some time at this presser.

You know what would be a megaton to me? A 343 or Coalition having a new second team working on something new, even if it's just a smaller digital only title. Not only would it be a megaton but a genuine relief to me.

MS-centric ones?

KOTOR 3
Battletoads
Banjo 3
Phantom Dusk/Scalebound back and ready to go (mega fucking unrealistic I know but it would be an absolute showstopper)
OG Xbox emulation and old XBL back online
Splinter Cell exclusive
Fable IV
Mistwalker game
Age of Empires 4

Sure there can be unexpected announcements. There are alot of 3rd party devs.
Who knew Creative Assembly was making Halo Wars 2 before it was announced. Or Sunset Overdrive or Scalebound.

I hope Phil comes out with the Scorpion jacket Ryan Gosling wore in the movie "Drive". But really I just hope they name their hardware something better than Xbox One was. Sunday is cool I wonder if that will make it difficult to do "and it's available now!" announcements.

Sorry but Sony has sign a deal for Kojima to wear that t shirt on stage when Ryan Gosling is announced for Death Stranding.

So are we expecting any revivals of older IP? There were rumors about Battletoads happening last year, but it didn't happen. There were also rumors about a new Banjo game appearing at E3 2015, but it didn't happen. I'm personally not going to get my hopes up anymore due to being continuously disappointed every year in regards to this. But what are the chances of it happening, if any?

I'm thinking bigger. Must be from a 3rd party - could be a series revival or alternate universe from an existing big franchise. Sony hit it out of the park with SFV and Bloodborne, at least in terms of internet hype when they were announced.

Has there been anything shown lately of Crackdown at all?

That's by far the game I'm most excited about and seems like it should be the flagship launch title for Scorpio, but it feels like we've seen nothing for ever. There was that one 'gameplay' video in late 2015 but that's it.

I'd love a Crackdown 1 remaster too, that would be hype if they brought something like that out for a summer release.

Ha that seems more reasonable :D

If they had a price drop in mind for E3 announcement I don't think it would matter as for virtual of a price drop at hand they would be "responding". The only I see is them knowing how good they feel about their announcement earlier.

We were talking about this in another thread I'm going for a new Splinter Cell game.

I wan an out of left field announcement. Something that no one saw coming. C'mon Microsoft, one big surprise, that's all I ask for!

Not sure about Crackdown 3 and Ori 2.

I would add to that list some remastered, 4k versions of released games, in particular:

-Halo 5
-Forza Horizon 3
-Inside
-KI

and others.

Also its a give that Fifa, NBA 2k, and a Call Of Duty will be there as well.

Call of Duty won't be there as they partner with Sony now

There's no such thing as realistic megaton. It's why it's called a megaton. It has to be something bold and unpredictable to qualify as such. Considering how risk averse with game development Microsoft has become in the past couple of years, I wouldn't count on any pie in the sky game announcement at E3. But maybe they can pull off a feature megaton like they managed to do with BC in 2015.

I'm just hoping we see a nice amount of Sea of Thieves, otherwise I am expecting an okay conference with a lot of first party titles that don't interest me.

Why wouldn't Crackdown be there? It really needs to be there because we have seen so little of it since being announced. Especially if it is supposed to come out this year.

Call of Duty will be at Sony's presser because of their new deal. I'm not sure about Fifa and NBA being there either. I feel like those slots could go to other third party titles.

Im thinking that their e3 is essenitally the scorpio reveal event, and what games shown will be taking advantage of that hardware. Not a side by side comparison mind you to the xbox one itterations, but something like "xbox one users will also be recieving a great forza experience" or some pr bs. That being said, im hella excited to play fm7 later this year presumably in something higher than 1080p with hdr (i dont think this thing will be able to do native 4k at 60)
