I noticed today they combined TV and Movies (in the UK anyway, it could've happened a while ago I've not been using my xbox much)
It's a little annoying because before the TV section had content from Sky like new movies and such and none of that is showing up in the combined menu. (yes, I'm actually complaining about the lack of ads)

Downloaded an update for the dash today. After it installed, my 360 no longer read my USB stick which I keep my profile on.

Hmmm...the update seems to have condensed the Guide button/blades interface by one page or tab and shuffled things around as a result. Active Downloads is now at the bottom of the leftmost page instead of at the top where it is easier to get at it and replaced at that position with Achievements. Also seems that the IE update allows for 1080p video on Youtube, maybe other video players, too. Maybe it was there before, but I don't remember it going past 720p.
Just changed it. Thanks for finding this out.
I use my USB stick to watch downloaded stuff and it works fine for me.

Stuff I noticed from todays update:
1) Games and Marketplace tabs in the Guide menu now merged.
2) Friends button in social now has a bigger number
3) My Video/Music Apps button icon changed.
4) 'Ratings Collection Sound' added in Settings > Console Settings > Audio
5) 'Console Name' added to Settings > Console Settings
All minor shit, it seems.
Edit: Stuff in Games Marketplace still doesn't seem to be sorted by release date by default. It says it is, but if you select Sort By and manual press Release Date, it will update to the proper sort order. Weird.

you have been able to watch only espn3 but not the actual live espn, espn2, and espn u networks. they announced that the full watchespn app which includes those live networks were coming out during the e3 keynote. i haven't downloaded this newest update yet but before that those live networks were not available.

They still go to the descriptio page, but X is also set to go to that same page, which is pretty redundant.
Hopefully that means they're planning on having A launch pins eventually, but it hasn't been implemented yet?

Did they ever mention anything about party viewing for Netflix coming back or is that a pipe dream. I thought it was a MS API issue but I may be remembering things wrong.

holy shit seriously? i did not know that we would be getting more than just espn 3 stuff. thats great.
too bad the app is complete dogshit like most other apps on the 360 since the NXE update. maybe they will update the functionality of it eventually. they cant fuck it up any worse at this point.
yeah i think it was mentioned that they were going to fix this. guess it didnt happen with this update. too bad.
these updates are so fucking slow to download as well. i think im done with these beta dashboards after this. its really more trouble than its worth to check out new features early.

EDIT: Since I'm not on my trusted PC anymore, I can't verify the new proofs.
EDIT2: Ok, I can remove my old trusted PC, but it's going to take a month before the changes are made. There isn't any extra confirmation needed to remove my trusted PC and adding new proofs. This makes it seem that anyone who has my password could go in an remove all proofs and as long as I don't notice it during that month, he's taken my account.

I played around with that a bit, if you say that all you proofs are lost, then MS will send out a message to each one of them saying 'yo, this thing is going to be removed in a month, if you didn't request it, then cancel this, and change yo damn password'
Trusted PC is a bad proof since that cant send a message to it, I dunno why they have that.
But if you get a message saying that your stuff got removed and you ignored it for a month, thats just your fault.

Yeah, but I haven't gotten a message about it. No email and no text. I added a second email and my phone number as proofs before I removed my trusted PC. I guess it would be kind of pointless to send something to those at this point, but they should at least send an email to my Windows Live ID.
I hope this only applies to when you remove a trusted PC, they should get rid of that nonsense anyway. If it's like you said that they send out messages to the other stuff, then it's fine.

That was already there from the first update. I believe it has something to do with the Nielsen ratings and is only relevant to people participating with that program. For anyone else it doesn't do anything, so you may as well leave it off.

i downloaded the update yesterday and now my roommate's profile which is on a usb stick can no longer access the saved games stored on there. we played rock band 3 with my hard drive in (my gamertag, saves, games, etc are all stored on my hard drive) while his profile and saved games are stored on his usb stick and it popped saying no save data was found for his profile for rock band 3. we play this game often so i know he did have stuff stored on there. so it recognized his profile on there and let him sign into xbox live but just couldn't access his saved games. anyone else have this issue? i couldn't find anyone else with a problem like this on the official xbox forums.

A bit hyperbolic, I admit, but being promised something and then have the rug pulled under me, do indeed piss me off. I have no problem with not getting something if I'm never promised it, like when I was too late signing up last time.
Anyway, since they (of course) fixed it right after I posted it's all good.
